As long as it's not making any big impact on the overall game that could be considered controversial (PC, FW being a few examples) I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I mean, it's not like you guys are part of any PC corporations or anything so as long as it's using the public matchmaker where the outcome of the battle literally has no impact on the game world, there shouldn't be any issue

We played quite a few games of Ambush today.
I hope it was just as unenjoyable for you as it is for everybody else.
How times did you get spawn camped because Smart Deploy dropped you right back in the same spot you just got spawn camped from?
How many battles did you have with just 2 other people against a full team?
How many times did 'Scotty' spend 3 minutes getting you into the last 45 seconds of a losing battle?

I'm sure CCP Devs have incognito accounts they play on.
When you guys appear in your CCP clones, bring your new stuff to fight with. Spawn into a game and run around as a Minmatar Heavy or open up with an Amarr Laser HMG.
The pucker factor would be off the charts and people would line up to die just to get a glimpse.

All, or at least most CCP employees have a personal account they use, but they can never tell about their occupation to the people they play with on those accounts. And I'm fairly certain that even if they had an Amarr heavy laser sitting somewhere, it's only accessible on their own internal test server, and bringing that into the public version would probably be tricky at best.

It's a PR stunt, playerbase anger containment and testing in live environment in one go. How it is so? Simple...
CCP Devs acctually play the game they develop (PR stunt part)
CCP Devs can soak in unlimited amount of playerbase anger by participating in game battles under their CCP toons. (anger containment part )
All this while at work  (testing part)
They have their private toons they can play on. But they chose to play on their CCP toons.
Anyway, i have no problem with that. It's an obvious and smart move. And i think it works Thanx

I saw CCP Rouge play a domination match
He was in a LAV trying to run over ppl at 1st, he hit me with the LAV and obv barely caused any damage to be even tho im in a suit and hes driving a 1 ton car around at full speed, so he had to jump out to kill me
I should have died by getting run over but CCP disagrees |

When you guys were running ambush it went out on twitter and we jammed into ambush to try and crush...er..say "hi there". 
Also, big kudos to CCP FoxFour for hanging out in game and doing some Q&A with Dust University the other day. |

Like most ccp devs, they probably have the accounts that they play the game with and then they have their special ccp accounts (which in eve have the ability to use dev commands). |

I was running on an alt and saw Saberwing get owned. One of the guys on my squad commented that CCP can't balance the game because they can't competently play it.

My worst two ambush games were against nyain san within an hour of each other, and ended with 0-47 clone count.
