So ya why?
I kinda understand the former on some levels, though it seems to be taken to extremes, but why the latter?

People hate CPM because they sometimes love to shut up because we don't share the same oppinion or act in a way we wouldn't expect from them but the truth is they are just players not employees of CCP that are required to put up with bul*****. (bul***** from CCP is a different matter)
People don't like Mintchip because they think she doesn't actually do anything important and most of all she doesn't play. Some have said that she's a cheap marketing trick but I don't really think so. |

I am betting most of the Mintchip haters are secretly crushing on her.
You know how most all teenage boys are when they find a girl on the internet and with the average maturity of your typical console FPS player, is it any wonder why they haven't progressed beyond the whole pulling pigtails phase?
Now, the grown men that play Eve? IDK what their excuse is but I'd imagine it has something to do with the alleged "pics for ISK" goings on.
I haven't really formed an opinion on her, she's just another human seeking internet fame through youtube who happened to get picked up by CCP as a Community Reps (which, IMHO, she could be doing a better job of but this by no means a reason to hate her).

I hate CPMs because they just use their position to fulfill their own agenda and make the game better for their own playstyle. Also, they're purposely ignoring all the perfect stuff i'm saying every time i post on this forum because i just rule and am so superior to them. Why havent they done anything yet ?!!! can you answer that for me ?!!!! AAAAAAAARRRRGH SO MAD.

I think its mostly your corps, I mean I have no love for what the french, they were my main antagonist during my blueberry days. So I inherently felt hostile towards you, nothing you did, but your corp gave me a reputation which I attributed to you.

I don't know mintchip, and tho I've mentioned at times that she might be part of a larger conspiracy with all the other girls in dust about knowing what happen to my socks, I think she's your average gamer/blogger.

I think the CPM is just misunderstood, however they do tend to troll people and get confrontational. understandable considering the forum environment, but still not an excuse for people who are supposed to be community leaders.

It's quite simple, really. Dust is flawed and has had plenty time and little enough variety to become stale.
Why? Comprehensively answering that question is time consuming, also effort, when we could just band together and burn some effigies, bask in the blaze and make a night of it.
CPM are a group, groups are easily hated by looking at the least-liked member and perceiving them as representative of the whole.
Mintchip is a Community Relation something-or-other for a community that has felt ignored.
The fuel's there, all that's needed is a spark. |

The CPM that you see right now are just a preliminary set of representative. They were elected by CCP directly for at least their involved with the community. They were also selected based on what the community (at the time) felt about them. Back then, the vast majority of the community had no problem seeing them as representatives. Some people actually mentioned that they were alright seeing me become a CPM member but I turned that down because I'm just not the kind of guy to get involved at that level. At least not yet.
But don't worry. There will come a time when we finally start to elect our own players.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

1 - Mintchip isnt that bad really, i was wrong to cus her out in my (much requested to return) video that was pretty unfair about her. I think she has done well in CCP and seems to be pushing for better comms et al. Its hard to have much of a hate for her (aka shes doing a good job from what i see)
2 - The CPM however arnt - CCP don't support them with either a framework of communication or restraint at the 'holier than thou' attitudes many possess. The CPM was always going to be a hard thing to swing in a FPS gun game when compared to the armchair fleet commanders that EVE has and frankly when someone tells me to 'better educate myself' so my opinions perhaps morph to theirs, that's red rag to a bull as there are much more diplomatic ways to say this, especially when given the position they occupy, they should know better.
Hubris and ego have toppled the CPM in my opinion and cant wait to mess with the elections as best i can to get a budgerygar (bird) named 'Derek' to be elected and see how they handle it. (i predict a marked improvement tbh)

The CPM was always going to be a hard thing to swing in a FPS gun game when compared to the armchair fleet commanders that EVE has and frankly when someone tells me to 'better educate myself' so my opinions perhaps morph to theirs, that's red rag to a bull as there are much more diplomatic ways to say this, especially when given the position they occupy, they should know better.
Hubris and ego have toppled the CPM in my opinion and cant wait to mess with the elections as best i can to get a budgerygar (bird) named 'Derek' to be elected and see how they handle it. (i predict a marked improvement tbh)
Well you see that's the problem, I don't see why we should ACTUALLY elect them, I mean imagine if someone like ReGyUm got in.

Also they are trying to ruin the game from the point of vehicle pilots with IWS and his thread of 'no proto vehicles' while on the same hand will still keep in proto AV to stomp us with
