If I decided to run Black Eagles that was the only suit I'd run for the whole match, until the final match when I ran out, just to make counting easier. I have no skills in Gallente Scout or Shotgun but I do have proficiency 3 in the Assault Rifle. I replaced the shield extender with an enhanced damage modifier. My suit ended up with 115 shields and 162 armor.
Final tally: 119 kills for 50 suits for a KDR of 2.38. A few kills were from grenades so rounding down I should get 23 suits back as a reward. Considering my lifetime KDR is holding very steady at 1.63 I guess that's not horrible. I normally run some form of logistics and sometimes Minmatar scout.
I did learn that I'm a horrible shot with the shotgun and a lot of my kills where with the AR at decent range.

My wallet is decently fat and I already had 20 from a previous event so I decided to give them a try and see how they did over a series of matches against people of varying skill level. Overall, they are fun but I miss having some equipment for uplinks.
In EVE when I get one limited edition ship it immediately goes into the hangar to collect dust. At least here we get a stack of items and can save that last one to hang in the closest and bring out for warbarge parties.

then again, i do have a LOT of scout oriented bonuses like Dampening Lv5 , AR and SG proficiency, Scan Range Lv 4, Scan Precision Lv 4 ,etc... |

I need to work on precision. I was killed a fair number of times hacking objectives and I never saw the enemy scout on radar.

Why they are effectively worth nothing. I'll have 250+ to sell during p2p as will hundreds of others, for a small economy they will not fetch a high price at all. |

Went 24-5 against a squad of LATINO KILLERS CORP.
Proficiency 4 in ARs, but most kills came from the Shotgun.

My best on my Main came the day before yesterday.
22-2 which was surprising....its a very enjoyable play style...I wish commando's were light frames.
The combo of pulling an AR then fishing for a guy to rush you, then dropping him with a shotgun is insanely entertaining. |

My best match so far has been 12/2/1 in a Dom. AR/shotgun combo is brutal. I think we should post pick of our reward screens when we get awarded bonus suitsbto see who go the most kills for the competition. |

but there was some ORB kills in there and grenade kills
and to all the people that think they get to keep their BES after the event
take a look at the news feed next time you load the game
it states CCP is giving you a chance to earn some to keep

CCP has never removed an event item. At no point did they say they would be removing unused items. If you want to sit on your 50 then go right ahead.

that suit is just stupid as hell. CCP should just gave it to us as a temporary starter fit (unlimited runs) and remove it after the event and hand out the BPC's. That way we coulda saw more of them in matches.

I lost count around halfway, since I had an improved grenade added to my fitting, so my killcount was a little distorted when looking at the end of the match screen. But from what I could tell, I managed to get an average KDR of 2.5 or something. I'll see how many suits I'll get after the event.

You do know the kills must be with a "black eagle" weapon. This means either the shotgun or the AR you cant just put core locus grenades on it and run havoc. Thats not how it works out.

I equipped a mass driver and got 10 kills before dying...only to find out that none of them counted because you need to get kills with the black eagle wepaons.

But seriously, AR + Mass Driver is pretty beast.

I've kept a 4 kdr while running the Black Eagles. I had 150 of them and I ran 75 of them, then the PS4 came out and dust took a back seat, I'll come back to run the other 75 later. The suit cost me 0 isk to run, and with my math, ill get back around 120, losing 30 suits. I am making pure profit on running these suits. i will have essentially sold these 30 suits for around 650,000 isk each. If you fools get a better price on these suits when market arrives, if it arrives, then I'll be very surprised. |

I've taken down maybe 25 with the 10 suits i've used for the cause. Really like the shotty/AR but hate scouting without my scanner. Suits too weak to run around without knowing what your running in to.
Best part is i've only fallen to someone running BE gear once this week.
Excuses are getting old, where is my jetpack?
