I understand why you would want them but honestly, if i was a heavy i would be pushing for weapons over suits. The HMG shoots breadsticks as it stands and you will be fat and slow with a massive hit box no matter the suit. As a scout, im pushing for better shotgun or cqc weapons personally.

Ok, but you have 2 suits to choose from, with different niches. Heavies have ONE and the bonus only helps with a couple of Light Weapons.

HMG isn't as bad as people keep claiming it to be. It takes a GEK (at least) with a complex or two to take down an advanced HMG backed by enhanced. Even then you'll have to be bricked like a ************ to be able to take on all that weapon's (amazing) damage. I've been using it and I laugh at the feeble weapons that try to shoot me up close!
It literally takes a GEK, Duvolle, or a weapon with some range to take me down. Then again, I have 1200+ health without breaking the advanced formula. Come get a piece of this cake, ya' bastards.

Agreed, but the weapon doesn't work like you think it does. You think that circle means anything? I'll edit this with a post in a moment.

You ninja'd before my edit, so I shall do the same!
I mentioned it elsewhere about my feelings of the HMG and the things I noticed.

Yeah, I mentioned something similar in my own thing. Anyone who used the HMG for extended time realizes the ins and outs of it, that being one of the most noticeable thing (for me). People really just need to give stuff extended air time instead of using it once and blaspheming everything about it or (even worse) just damning it because it isn't a Plasma Rifle, you know?
For instance (which is oddly on topic considering this thread), the Forge Gun. It is only the Assault variants that are in need of a change. I personally use the standard Forge Gun or at times the Breach Forge Gun. (I'm prof'd into it at 4, so I'm pretty damn set with either.) I have used every variant of the FG up to the prototype level for extended times. Even I say (and have been saying for a while) that the Assaults are doing too much in too short of a time with no enough consequence. What we have going on right now are people complaining about all of the FGs needing to be damage nerfed. All of them already got a splash reduction, but splash has always been insignificant on the FG (to me). I hit direct or I don't hit at all. Bottom line.

But my post has video confirming. Just saying.
And I use an ADV FG. 9K330, to be exact. The very same day the splash nerf hit, I killed three people with it in one match. Without really trying, you know? I use it as AV, but not enough PG/CPU for a sidearm (yet), so I improvise. I see this guy running, I charge up, and dooommmm. Dead merc.

Just saying that without a video it's pretty easy to spot. "Those that think not for themselves follow in the footsteps of those that have."
I angrily shake my bigass fist at the people that sit on the towers with any of the FGs. I personally prefer to fight on the ground. Nothing like bounding around a corner with the Forge Gun and blapping people. (I use Nova Knives as a secondary because **** the system; it's hilarious to ninja around as a heavy since I don't brick tank.) I honestly don't see how people can sit up there doing nothing. That's so boring to me. I guess it's similar to the camping in corners in other FPSes. Compensation, I suppose. *To be completely clear, I am not directing this to you or anyone specifically.
I used to play UT a lot, so I suppose I have a small unfair advantage to those that hadn't. The Flak Cannon's secondary fire taught me a lot of things dealing with accuracy, leading targets, and overall awareness of the nearby ongoings. The Mass Driver and Plasma Cannon, in that same sense, are "too easy" for me to use. The Plasma Cannon takes a bit to use, but once you have experience, it becomes... secondhand? The Forge Gun, much like the Flak Cannon when restricting ONLY to secondary fire, leaves an opening to be killed. I like that. I like leaving an opening. I want people to shoot me otherwise it's not fun. It's not enjoyable if they don't respond to the threat. If they don't fight back, what's the point? I'm one for sport, not easy. I don't like using a weapon that will leave a massive opening like the Plasma Cannon does if you don't manage to get them.
I really miss those old days. Age really wears down on one's ability.

I didn't take any offense to you saying you hate the rooftop FG snipers. I'm not one, so it doesn't pertain to me. On my heavy, if I want to snipe, I use my Commando with a SR and an AR to do so. It's how I roll... more or less.

Before they got the health boost, I was using the LR/SR combo with a hive to feed me ammo. It's interesting how a small increase of armor and shields caused people to flock to them. I saw a lot of MD/ARs that day. Sigh.

Me too. I white knighted the LRs before they had gotten their sights changed (which was a needed change, in my opinion, though the color annoys my Gallentean senses). I've been trying to promote the Scrambler Pistol, but people seem hellbent on it being useless (which it isn't).
I defend the dropships, the scouts, the shotguns, the knives, the pistols, the HMG, the FG, the Breach Flaylock (because it's hilarious), Plasma Cannon, and Flux grenades these days. I feel the Laser Rifles have picked up a few more defenders of their own who are able to fight for their cause better than myself. Everything else can fend for its self.
Added note due to ninja moding in before your own edit: Ha. I appear a bit earlier than yourself in that thread. Scroll up a bit. <3
