I thought of a new idea for a new kind of orbital strike maybe a kind of orbital strike that is a precise laser beam that locks on the tanks because most of the time they just run out of the way of the strike anyway. Something like a highly concentrated short bursts laser that would directly attack either drop ships or tanks. Anti vehicle only. Any thoughts? |

Dude have you even seen what an eve side orbital dose to havs?? If a tank escapes a warbarge strike then they deserve to keep it.

They already exist, you just need an EVE pilot to drop it. If I had it my way that would be the only way to drop an orbital.

High end tanks can easily Rep through Warbarge Orbitals. Tactical Laser Strikes from an EVE ship however....those hurt.
As for specifically Anti-Vehicle Orbital? Yes please. Require an infantryman to use some sort of Target Painter on the vehicle, guided missile strike from an EVE ship in orbit, guaranteed hit as long as the target remains painted. |

300k isk Soma can easly survive warbarge OB strike...
OP talking about single laser beam strike that locks on & tracks that tank, say for 10-15 sec.
So big, so angry, so dead...

The laser orbital can destroy a full health CRU the supply depot next to it and the 4 or 5 people around them.
It was fun watching the damage scroll from that one.
