CCP FoxFour wrote:The current numbers favor players selling the clones they have instead of using them for fighting. What we would like to do next week is change the numbers to the following:
- Clone sell price changed to 60,000 ISK.
- Biomass price of clones (clones killed in battle) to 160,000 ISK.
Those changes would make it so that you make far more money by attacking. Before making a huge change like that however we would like to get some feedback.
I would like to argue that Xer Cloud Consortium offers an advantageous model to adapting to these dynamic changes. While not all aspects of our experimental system may work for you, I believe some facets can still offer insights for Dust 514's community player base.
To begin, corporations will have to respond to new methods of income generation, if and when CCP follows through on reducing the price of sold clones from districts. The next best system to replenish funds is via corporation tax. However, in order to meet the logistical demands of supporting districts on less isk output, corporations will have to significantly raise corporate taxes. The response of raising taxes this way is usually quite negative if players do not have an adequate sense of representation in how their funds are managed. XERCC takes an extreme stance of this issue by setting tax to 95% and allowing players free access to funds and they negotiate how fund are managed through peer to peer request.
One perceived issue with this system is that it can severely hinder a player's ability to run higher end equipment if they cannot secure funds from the wallet. While that is a problem for some, many members in our system find it conditions them to become better, more efficient players with lower end gear. Starter fits can be tremendously potent in the right hands, and the 5-10% of tax the the player keeps at the end of match can be used toward refitting more advanced modules. Additionally, with the upcoming changes to factional warfare, players will have more ability to leverage higher economic power in how they generate their own funds through LP item sales. Xer Cloud Consortium will be putting its support behind the Caldari LP store in order to capitalize upon equipment that offers a high WP and Damage to price ratio. See Here
The second issue with this system is that bad apples and leeches can spoil the bunch. In response to this development, we have opened up a partner corporation to filter extreme 'growth deterrents' out. If a member is flagged as a wallet leech by several members, that individual is investigated to determine the extent of their contribution to the group. If the member has not contributed to XERCC's primary directive of generating and donating income toward our PC fund (which has its own account log), the member is stripped of their directorship title and personnel officer titles. Here they are asked to either contribute to the PC fund with match play or leave our organization. A member placed in probation cannot regain directorship until they are deemed by the other corp directors as ready to re-join the ranks through a vote. An individual in probation status with XERCC can expedite the re-application of directorship by donating 36 million isk either into the PC fund or directly into the use of a clone pack.
Regardless of whether or not you care for our corporation, we will stay the track and continue to cultivate future minded ideas.
With regards, CEO Jadek 'Nixon' Menaheim

Please refer to this topic for our protocol on PC battles. We are seeking to inspire more competitive play between factions through the use of corp-ringers.
We are not interested in holding districts only fighting for them. If we do happen to take a district, it will be left to our PC trainers to give new players experience in engaging PC battle tactics and what to look out for.

Couldn't you sell the district if you get one? Generate more funds for the corp. |

That would be on a case by case basis depending on where our battle efforts of ringers are being concentrated. If the battle to retake the district is already viewed a push over, it won't fetch much of a flipping price regardless.
