As tested and proved, the drop suit bonuses once trained, do apply to all same sized drop suits of that race. If, say, a minmatar suit player does skill into and maximize minmatar logistic AND assault suit skills, all his minmatar drop suits - basic, logistic and assault suits will benefit from those bonuses. This provides ALL minmatar medium suits with 25% faster shield regeneration and 5hp armor repair rate, thereby effectively providing one high and one low slot extra to use otherwise.
Scout suits do have similarly useful drop suit bonuses: 25% scan profile reduction to basic and scout suits when max skilled.
It is important to note, that this does not apply to the racial bonuses (Minmatar Assault/Logistic Bonus); only the Suit bonus transfers to all suits (Assault/Logistic Suit Bonus).
What these bonuses have in common is that they play on the suit size's strengths or reduces some of their weaknesses.
Now to the heavy suit. Skilling Sentinel and Commando suits to the maximum will give all heavy drop suits 25% less feedback damage and 25% faster reload for light and sidearm weapons. This does not nearly address in any way what makes out the heavy suit. Faster reload is too Commando specific, feedback damage reduction is more important to fragile suits not able to compensate like the heave with his vast amount of raw eHP.
So please, please please CCP, reconsider and rethink the heavy suitGÇÖs role bonuses and provide him with something useful and representative of his class, no matter if basic, Commando or Sentinel, as what they have in common is higher eHP, big hitboxes and slow movement, and those characteristics should be addressed, not those that are only specific to one of the three or useless at all.

Please take the time and create one fit of your choice with a basic or assault suit with no reppers whatsoever, if you skilled into logistics and check their stats. You will find each of them give armor repair bonus as the logistic suit. Once in battle, this bonus does work too, so it is not merely a display error outside of battle. |

Iam a dedicated heavy, but have skilled into minmatar logistics to level 1, so one part of my premise: that it gives bonuses beyond level one is indeed more of a deduction than a proven. So if you are right in this, the class suit bonus does only provide lvl one bonus at maximum, and I would be proven partly wrong in this concern. But nevertheless does the other half of mine post hold true, that the heavy class bonuses do not credit or enhance the suits purpose in full as do other classes suits (at least not unless heavy laser come into play and make feedback damage a real threat to the heave's survival). |

Ohh, no, see, the Min Basic and Assault get 1hp/s intrinsic repper on their own. You don't need a point in Min Logi for that. That's just part of the suit, not related to any bonuses. And yes, heavy bonuses do suck majorly.
Wow, if this is true, I really learned something new about this suit and have to thank all of you many times for this insight. Thanks also for your feeling my pain with the heavy role suit bonus gimpedness... |
