We Laser Rifle users already know what we'll be up against with the Rail Rifle, as it out-ranges us, but what about the Combat Rifle? I mean, it's a medium-range weapon, as is the LR at this point. Or I should say, "moderately-effective-at-medium-range-with-very-small-optimal weapon".

I wonder what kind of drawback the CR will have, too. Maybe if you fire it too quickly, it will require you to apply some WD-40. Or more tape.

It's a burst rifle, so I imagine the recoil will increase drastically if you don't take at least a little moment to settle the gun between bursts.

You forget that there is aswell a assault combat rifle which is fully auto. Has the damage of a SMG, better range then a AR and tops the rate of fire of a balacs.
Stats to keep in mind:
balacs assault rifle rate of fire is 857
combat rifle rate of fire is 1200

so you can squeeze 343 rounds per minute more out then with the officer weapon.

Basically summed up the weapon here, its kinda trash as is now and will be outclassed by basically everything come 1.7, Im basically trying to use my lazors as much as possible before then because after that they will be pretty much worthless.

Id like to understand the weapons role now, why exactly is the Scrambler Rifle going to have better range? Wasn't that the Laser Rifles job? It pains me because my viziam is easily the best looking weapon in my arsenal, that dark black with silver trim/hardware and the awesome big silver heat sink.....oh man
