The Learning Coalition has some of the best tankers in the game providing HAV instruction. Our Corporate members include R 0 N 1 N, which trains Scouts and is lead by Lightning xVx who is so personally overpowered that he could probably go 10/2 in a bath robe fitted with a scrunchie. BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades has top notch Dropship Instructors and is affiliated with Condor Squad. We have many skilled independent medium frame Assault Instructors.
What we lack currently is an organized group to help out the aspiring Heavies. I would like to see some high ranked Heavies get involved. You donGÇÖt have to form a Corp as R 0 N 1 N did, although such a Corp would certainly be welcome. You can become a member of the Learning Coalition individually without leaving your current Corp by simply joining Learning Coalition chat and helping out. But it would be nice if there was something more organized.
What I would like to see, is some sort of organization for training Heavies. This organization could then be a Group member of the Learning Coalition similar to the Mango Group, with its leader having a place on the Learning Coalition council. To qualify for Group membership, the group would have to include some highly skilled/respected Heavies.
I have a Heavy alt myself, which I have been playing exclusively for the last 3 weeks, so I know the basics, but I would only classify myself as a Journeyman Heavy at this point, so it would be great if I had some seasoned Vets around that I could direct aspiring Heavies to for guidance.
An organized group of Logi-Bro trainers would also be welcome. We have some Logi within our ranks, but nothing really organized. |

I'm not nearly skilled or high spec'd enough to be an instructor, but I wouldn't mind helping out as best I can.

Even if you are not experienced enough to be Instructors, you are still welcome as mentors.
And we certainly could use another Logibro Instructors ShwerShwerShwer. |

I run something similar to Warlord, only I use an SMG or Scrambler Pistol instead of a Flaylock.
I really want my Proto Sentinel.

For what I want to run, which is the highest eHP possible while my corp's Logi reps me, it'd work just fine. Losing the second High Slot is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for that.

Both my chars run Heavy and are Proto Forge Gun and HMG.
I will give it a try as it might be interesting.
Many of the random Blues I have squaded with have been ... resistant to change. A Heavy seems to inspire a certain mindset that is quite inconsistent with the current state of Heavies in DUST. HMGs that have no range and a 1500HP Heavy that can be dropped in 2 seconds by the majority of weapons in the game are difficult to reconcile in those new to the patch cycle in DUST.
Whatever, as long as they have a mic I will give it a go. |

Most of the Heavy suits I see are running ARs or Assault Scramblers, although there was that one time I came across someone using a Mass Driver.
If they fixed the over-dispersion issue with the HMG, the weapon would be more viable outside of camping choke points.

Oh I agree, it's fun to get the drop in a Aurum-Proto squad, hit them with a Flux and chew through half of them with headshots before they drop you with Duvolle fire.
I've been known to cackle into my mic as I hold a choke point and cut down clone after clone with HMG fire.

Warlords fit is pretty much the same as mine, I do prefer the SMG to Flaylock but it does add some extra spice to the epic bowl of Hippo curry that the Heavy is!!!
I'm afraid I am committed to my corp otherwise I would like to help out. But heres a couple of wise words for guys speccing into heavy suits. "Remain calm just because there's 6 guys charging you doesn't mean you're going to die, it means you now have 6 new targets!" "Aim for the enemy with least armour first, remove DPS and increase clone duration"

KILLER 20965:
We would love to have you assist new Logi in the Learning Coalition. It is as easy as joining Learning Coalition chat. You donGÇÖt have to leave your Corp. We would not have some of the best Instructors in the game if we made them leave their PC corps.
Once you are in the Learning Coalition chat channel, you can answer any questions about Logi, and squad up with people from the channel. I put a lot of work into making sure there are a good mix of students in there. You might even want to announce that you are an experienced Logi and are willing to anser questions on the subject.
We try to keep it simple. I figure if you are asking people to donate their time, it is best not to make them jump through too many hoops.

Your name looks familiar. Are you that one guy from Red Star that showed up to attack Immortal GuidesGÇÖ district? No hard feelings about Red Star attacking. You guys are as welcome as anyone else. |
