Well ive jumped over my shadow and specced into complex shield extenders (im gallente armor tanking usually) and changed one of my fittings to have nothing else then shield extenders, plates and 2 armor reps. On my basic proto gallente suit i get exactly 900 HP. Shield recharge is 20HP/s and armor repair is 10HP/s, shields 368HP and armor is sitting at 532HP.
So went to pub matches and its exactly as i expected. OP as hell cause i could literally take on multiple enemys without to die or be insta killed by grenades (armor+grenades=death). In my opinion damage mods need a huge buff to counter crap like that.

If damage modifiers were any stronger, they'd be a heavy weapon.
If you think Plasma Rifles take skill to use and are fine as they are, you are the problem.

This just in: modules have an impact on TTK. Or maybe everyone has been wilfully ignorant of that fact. Hmm.

Ive run 39/1 and 43/2 in Public matches where there are no teams opposing me with a Standard fit Amarr Assault and standard gun, the fit had 370 shields 261 armor, with 1 Armor Rep/ Second.
That suit was OP as hell man.......i rather like to think the opponents s*cked like hell though ....

Do you play in 540p/320p resolution? I thought it did not have any effect on the performance?

I play in 576p Resolution, it smooths framerate a little bit, i normally play FPS games with at least 100 FPS so for me the smoother the better, graphics i care little for, as did all counterstrike players back in the day.

Look here, Rei Shepard is a very good player, no doubt about it, i've seen her/him do great rounds but she/he is not unstoppable.
What amazes me with this topic is that i see so many people in-game that are running around with what seem like empty fittings. I keep seeing people with 180/180HP or 120/210HP or whatever other stock HPs and then people talk about TTK being low. If you're shooting at these people, it's no wonder. Encounter someone who actually fits their dropsuit and the TTK is fine.
Dark cloud did nothing extraordinary, just a really heavily tanked hard to take down suit, it just puzzles me why there's so many people who can't manage to do the same.

My friends always ask me why i play at these resolutions, try it for a day and go back to playing in 1920x1080 resos as they notice no gains, there are a couple of FPS sensetivity tests on the internet you can try, if you don't notice any diffrence you have a "normal" brain that fills in gaps very well on its own, if your brain cannot fill in gaps, even the slightest fps drop is noticeble.

There's two graphics options that you can tune in-game to low medium and high settings.

Hehe thanks for the compliment, ive been working on that Unstoppable part, but i am just not there yet :p i too run very crappy rounds from time to time, especially when the enemy team drags me out of my momentum.
But yeah some games theres nothing but low EHP suits on the field, thats like taking candy from a baby.

Nah, you cant really tune the games textures like you can quake 3 for example. I always run on 'low'.

Yesterday was... easy day. Probably most of 'hardcores' rested after event. For 6 hour of my play I meet only 2 'hardcores' teams and only for few matches. At peak I do 45/3 and 33/1 ... and this was extraordinary from normal runs (around 10-12/2-4) at last few months. Score like this I get around early beta. Not much changes in fit and play-style.
Dark .... maybe play one more week for good measure.
About resoultions - mits: - yes - for playing in low res, but at current build is not much difference playing in HD (but still is) - no - low res textures - Time changed form Quake times. Nowadays GPU are optimized for using big textures. Using low .. you still 'upsciling' it for hi-res and this takes time too. Difference is from loading time from HDD... At current build at my PS3 changing low/med/hi textures do noting at game play.
This are my opinion only ;) so dont bother too much.

Yeah, and I went the opposite way just this week: I've always used shields (with the exception of young chars which need to be dual buffered), now added plates on top of it. Of course sacrificing my beloved red cans at lows...
Results: Yeah. Brick tanking works. Especially when the blue ball hits with the red ball. Really increased the fight odds in 1v1s and many other situations as well.

You are just 2 - 3 shots to my thales and not much if i am hitting you with a core grenade trust me you probably just went up against new players.
