So I just managed to cap out yesterday in the 3x SP event. It was a horrendous grind fest and I hated myself afterwards for having spent so much time on it. CCP, please triple passive (or at least double) SP gain if you will host this event again. Best regards, the exhausted Dust 514 player. |

A tripple sp event that allows me 3x longer to cap out is not a triple sp event. Its a triple grind event. Lets call it what it is.

capped out sunday and maxed out my shield extenders.
I dont mind the larger SP pool for me to dable in, but seriously... I'm exhausted.

I capped out last night. My hands were literally shaking and my arms sore from playing so much.
Only did it b/c, well, with an active omega it's nearly 1.2 ml SP, finally got my logi ak.0. Haven't taken it out of the garage yet tho!

It's a tough call. It's extra SP however you look at it, so I don't know if its CCPs fault for implementing the event like so or simply the fault of players for wanting to gain tons of SP and stay on top of everyone else, and having the mentality that they need to cap.

CCP's reasoning for no longer tripling passive in-battle SP is pretty reasonable. In my opinion they should increase the active in-battle SP increase. Maybe 6x or 10x.
Either way it's interesting that people are complaining about 'free' stuff. |

Yup.
CCP seemed to forget how the last x3 event went, and must have recoded it instead of using the model that worked GREAT.

I have a question. Why is it that there is an expectation that you should reach the triple cap? The cap is the maximum possible not the guaranteed minimum. The event gives you more than the normal rate of XP gain. This lets you reach the usual cap in a much shorter time. It can be claimed that this is the main purpose of a xp event and much as reaching the new cap could be claimed to be its purpose.
The event is billed as a process that increases you XP gain. It has a cap but this cap is nowhere stated to be the goal of the event or its main purpose. It does not state it is an event to ensure you reach the x3 cap.
Where has your expectation come form?

Exactly. I drive semi and the legal hours for driving every day is 11 hrs, that sure as hell doesnt mean I'm gonna drive 11 hrs every day.

Or, CCP could at least make it 'just' double SP cap instead of triple.
The problem is that the active SP being doubled increases SP gain from match by some +20% to +50% compared to normal.
So, the required play time to reach the cap is x2,5 I dare to estimate for most. That is heavy grinding.
BTW: I capped two of my characters and a bit more. I also hate myself for that. |

Went upstairs to have a celebratory drink with the wife but all her **** was gone, even took the pictures off the wall..... |
