May I ask if you guys have tinkered with the ISK system? It seems to me the payouts have been halved for the 4th place and below on the score board. Reason I'm asking is the new guys are struggling, hell some of my alts are struggling. I don't mean to complain, but do you mind if I make a few requests?
1) How about a bonus spread evenly to the winning team. Makes sense right? A company would surely pay more for winning territory than throwing their money out the window at a loss. Even NPC's. And I mean even the little guys get a bumb, like 50k to each member on the winning team.
2) Some sort of back pay for equipment. You've made it damn near impossible to get any profit out of advanced gear. All my toons loose about 30-46k a in adv. gear death. That's fine, other than the fact that in 2-3 deaths is 90k 4-6 is 180,000+ the average payout. You have a set of bad games against some of the corps that mistake this game for real life... You die *way* too much. Just saying factoring 10-15% of your losses would make a huge difference. Although I do not think that proto gear needs this. It's just an Idea, and it's probably more applicable to tankers and pilots. Do you think you could integrate an insurance option for vehicles? They definitely need all the help they can get.
3) A *militia only* or otherwise *Non Proto* and Squad synch game type, or battle type. I know you guys are way into your role play... And you have to have every aspect have a fictional back story. Hey that's awesome, and it's partially why I love Dust and EVE, but we do need some practicalities. I think both these would alleviate the related ISK problems for most people. There are far too many time's I've been solo against both a que synched *and* prototyped out wrecking crew. It's simply not fun. And I have seen many new and old members get sick of it. Many of the new guys end up quitting over this over the top play style. Hey It's awesome that there are crowds out there that love to play all hard core, but using proto seems cheap like that. Most of the randoms don't have the gear to compete, so why not allow an entirely different battle finder for these types. Allow the casuals to play casual and hard core to play hard core. Not to mention it would prove to be an excellent practice ring for PC battles for starting corps and veteran corps alike, a far less costly one if you could merge the two.
Anyways thanks your your time, and for reading my humble opinion. Feel free to share your input guys, I'm sure there are better ideas out there. |

3 militia and basic. So people can use everything. There is no militia scr, lr, logi, flaylock, hmg, ect. |

odd, i never feel this? i usually always profit in anything below a prototype. i average about 200k Isk per battle and maybe 160 k isk if i don't do so hot.
The least isk i've ever made was i think 40k isk, and i literally only had bout 50 warpoints.

At least you're consistent. I don't have these problems as much anymore, not on this toon. Starting one from scratch is awful though.... And my tanker is a completely different story. I have been hearing a lot about loosing isk from a number of people though. I know if you don't get above 1000 wp and below 6th place it seems like you only get like 150k-ish.... You die die 5x.. 5x 36k =180k . I've gone 36 and 9 (a perfect 4.0) and lost money or just break even on an adv suit. It just seems odd that you can do amazing and still loose money to me. At least the Tanker insurance would be an awesome thing to add... And the game mode would honestly make this game more fun.
It's just ideas. I didn't say they were great ones, or a universal problem. Thanks for the feed back though man. |

Even though the Protobears will be upset that we are "throwing their right away", it's very necessary for a more closely mag he's game. In every other game with tiers, the MMer tries to match level and skill.
DUST needs a system to seperate tiers for solo and new player survival.
Especially when the tier system in DUST links itself and gear that is literally better in every way.
While Tiericide really is needed, this pubstomping issue needs a bandaid, quickly.
