As we Grow much Closer to the launch of the PS4, in four days from today (November 11th) release is on the 15th we ask the question. Will Dust 514 be on the PS4, and if so by when?
We know it cannot be that hard to make it so that PS3 users can still play on the same server as PS4, because well you made EVE and Dust compatible and that is why you are known to be so amazing. But you have not given us any details or even any real hints about if you will be coming to meet with the next gen gaming system.

Don't expect it to be a PS4 launch title, unless CCP's doing something as stupid as trying to keep it a surprise for no freaking reason. (That actually wouldn't surprise me)
Though in reality, I wouldn't expect to see it on Ps4 for months/years down the line. (Probably the latter) |

Interesting. Isn't that bad business? eh i don't know you'd just think that they would make it for both consoles since there isn't a reason not to.

It'll probably be a year or two before they consider moving to PS4. Their reasoning is that there are still 80 million PS3s out there and so the market is big enough.

yes that is true but that's why i say making it for both. Because then there will be an even larger audience. I know that quite a few Xbox 360 users will be moving to the PS4, therefore PS3 + PS4 Dust514 = double the current audience. i think, eh i'll just go with that.
Plus now i have to keep my PS3 and have my PS4 and unplug and replug it everytime i want to play the other system.
Just sayin CCP be way more better if you made it for both systems.

It'll be years before Dust 514 transfers to another console. No, I don't want it on the PS4 in anything less than two years. I don't want a game that is barely even beta on the latest generation console.
Why isn't Dust 514 going to PS4 any time soon? It'll make Sony look a little ****** for putting this mess on the system when the "big games" are rolling out. I'd rather Killzone anyways.
If you think Plasma Rifles take skill to use and are fine as they are, you are the problem.

With Dust being based on Unreal, dual development would only hold the PS4 version back. The PS3 doesn't really get on with Unreal (or anything not specifically programmed for it) so the PS3 version would become a huge horrible weight dragging both versions down from competing with peers.
Expect them to hammer the PS3 version for as long as it is still viable and then make the switch in a big old revolutionary PS3-shitcanning jump so we never have to turn these awful toasters on again. |

OP hasnt realised that the DUST launch on PS3 was ******* terrible
So why would CCP repeat the same mistake?
They might aswell use PS3 to get everything out like the racial suits/vehicles and weapons and modes
Then do a proper release on PS4 with a fanfare and try to get some advertisement going with a 'half finished game' at least
Worst thing they could do is release it on PS4 in this state |

Yeah i completely agree if they launched it for PS4 now that would be horrible and would be a serious mistake.

There's at least a good 2 years until the playerbase starts to begin trading out. Have to let the guinea pigs test the Playstation 4 before the masses go out to buy it, as well as second-hand consoles have to start circulating in order for many to be able to afford it.
