That worries me because it touches on the common sense of the people who are building this game. There are 80M PS3's out there because the PS4 has not yet been released. The PS4 is debuting at only $399...that is less than new model cellphones when they hit the market. Why does CCP think that people won't buy the PS4? How many people still play on their PS2's??
The PS3 is going to be a dead system in a matter of months and CCP has a few years plan on it? That worries me because how do they not see that pushing for the PS3 is a fail idea? As much as I enjoy dust.....no way will I be unhooking my PS4 and then hooking up my PS3 for a pc match or to cap each week. I won't be getting the PS4 at launch but it won't be too long after that. I'm not going to be going through that trouble of switching systems just to log onto dust. I already have too much congestion with my pc, ps3, Hauppauge, cell phone charger, internet router, etc. I have to use two extension cords......something will give.

LOL ! just got up, thanks for that
Now on the matter of PS4. ( Btw, anything i say here is pure speculation and personal opinion. We never had any info about that as CPM even though i asked a few times )
I wont ever get out of my head the fact that developing dust on PS3 was a major mistake at first. Considering how bitchy it is to develop on it, and ESPECIALLY when it is your first console game as a dev studio. Also, end of life etc...
Now, i dont think it's even a possibility to start porting the game to PS4 now for the sole reason that it would cost a lost and probably kill the game in the mean time considering the fixes the game needs vs coding time needed to port the game vs total manpower.
Problem is, if you need money to make the game better, and go PS4. Well, you'll need to have people playing. And over the coming years, less and less players will stick with PS3. Especially FPS players ! So less and less potential customers. So less and less money to invest in upgrading the game.
What i'd love to though for near future is for CCP to at least work with Gaikai to make the current game available to be played on PS4. Would be a way to benefit from the tiny line up for PS4 and allow people to carry on playing while changing their system. Though i have no idea how time consuming it would be to do so.
