Matchmaking (if you can even call it that) is pretty non-existent. The following occur with increasing regularity:
-Unbalanced matches (Team1 AVG SP: 12 million, Team2 AVG SP: 1.5 million) -Empty matches (Literally nobody on other team, if they're lucky it may be 16v3) -Late Join (players entering a game during the DEFEAT/VICTORY screen) -Error messages (Scotty, Freezes in sqd menu, etc.)
Has been like this for months... I'm tired of pretending like it's "Scotty's fault" that the matchmaking is awful. This is on CCP. Nothing is being done to address one of the most broken (yet important) features of the game. |

I'll agree that matchmaking should do more to balance teams.
As for the rest,
-Late joining can't be helped unless you want to stop replacing players who quit games -As far as I know menu freezing has been fixed, and although Scotty can be a minor inconvenience, it really only delays you finding a game by about 5 seconds. -Empty matches has happened to me, maybe a handful of times, out of hundreds of games. I've periodically seen the same thing in Battlefield and Halo
So let's not be so dramatic. CCP is not out to get you.

talos, in all fairness, start an alt, day one no support..then tell me how fair you feel playing a full squad of or even 12+ of, *insert name here*.
In all fairness, I have seen it with many players I have recruited, and about 40 of them quite the game within 2 mil skillpoints. |

Can't be helped? Considering your apologist attitude towards CCP, I can see why you don't have the critical thinking skills to come up with a solution.
How's about this one off the top of my head:
-Penalize players who quit games early with ISK fines (breach of contract) -Reward players who choose to join a late game by using the ISK from the leaving player to subsidize their income.
Also, not having insanely stacked teams due to garbage matchmaking would reduce the number of players quitting. Pathetic that you just pawn this off as "can't be fixed" - That amounts to a complete lack of problem solving that is also present within the CCP development team.

Right, that's assuming Scotty isn't just continually popping up over and over. I've seen 5 minute long "Scotty's" trying to queue for a FW match, eventually ends up in teams giving up or playing for a different team or pub match. The menu crash bugs are still happening constantly across the board. Check the bug reports forum...

Seriously? Do you really even play BF or are you just throwing that out to try and draw some kind of comparison? Battlefield servers are single-player entry and have admins that can manage the players. They also have an autobalance feature which counters imbalance on public servers, but is optional for private servers. I ran a BF3 server for almost a year and never once saw a completely empty enemy team unless it was on a private server in preparation for a clan match. This argument is a joke.
