Has anyone used this 1.7 Vehicle Fitting Accessory! And noticed that even with max skills (they're all put to 5 by default)
That the only thing you can essentially fit are basic modules? I fitted out a Myron, and I could only squeeze on 1 basic afterburner, 1 basic extender, 1 enhanced extender, and 1 basic shield hardener.
I would advise against immediately speccing all the way into vehicles at the beginning, as it seems that only only things we'll really be able to use are basic modules and turrets. I don't know if that's how it is for tanks as well, but that's how it is for dropships it seems. |

Do we know anything about pilot dropsuits yet? maybe they will provide bonuses that give the extra oomf you are looking for in CCP's final vision? |

This is only the case when you insist on running a Hardener. They're extremely pricey modules that go on to have extremely long cooldown times after their activation. I'd argue that the only vehicle class worth making absolute sure that you have one fitted to is the HAV as they're slow and can find cover relatively easily, fitting one on the dropship causes what you see in the opening post in which you have to knock everything down to the basic tier while being extremely dependent on the cooldown times in order to do anything effective, not to mention they're inherently more vulnerable at all times so doing so just makes you easier to pop by focused AV when you're flying around with 60+ second cooldown times. All and all, not a good look.
This fitting assume Shield Fitting Prof. 5
High - 2x Complex Shield Extenders 1x Complex Shield Booster 1x Complex CPU Upgrade
Low - Ammo Extension Complex PG Upgrade
Turret - (With Turret Fitting Prof. 5) 2x XT-1 Missile Launcher
(With Turret Fitting Prof. 0) 2x AT-1 Missile Launcher
Stats : Shields - 2335 Armor - 850 |

I forget exact fits but I'm pretty sure I got all proto on my DS no probs at all (by removing side guns admittedly, but still). And the same thing was true when I played around with a Madruger fit too with plate, repper, hardener, and main gun all at proto - Think it was missile... I like missiles

Lol knew it. Pilot dropsuits are only going to steal effectiveness from players and reallocate it into another necessary SP sink. It will be no bonus. Just stolen and ransomed goods.
Like those companies who sell a game, but take out 1 third of the land mass, and then want to sell the rest to you in a 20$ DLC. No thanks, it was all there before. (Dragons Dogma lol)
There was no way pilots suits were ever going to offer supplemental bonuses of extra stabilizability, only become built a built in requirement leaving us no better than before, with less SP.

Yes, I have noticed this.
Not only can you not fit any decent fitting with complex mods, you also have very little variety in options given the massive requirements for modules in general.
Less fitting options, less meta, So much for being anything like Eve ships. I can't do anything remotely close to many of the fittings Ive been running. And that was even less than before that giant PG nerf we got. |

Standard hull prehaps, on a dropsuit I have trouble fitting all enhanced modules on an advanced suit!

Seems like the hardeners do have massive requirements, I didn't notice that at first
But wouldn't you want to have a hardener on a DS? Seeming that they are only going to be able to be used for troop transport with the removal of ads and logi dropships.
For example, turn hardener on wile you are picking up troops in a hotzone Pop afterburner to get to the flight ceiling for maximum safety drop troops repeat
