So last night i was running with a full squad of shotty scouts and we're kicking arse and some guy spawns a tank, me and some other guy figure **** it and start chasing the tank with our shottys, then next thing i know all 6 of our guys are making this tank swiss cheese. one minute to take down a 5k armor tank with shotguns. 
Happiness is as a butterfly. when pursed it's always just beyond your grasp. but should you relax, It may alight you

it was a blaster tank, we ended up cornering him by a hill leading into the redline.
dodging a blaster is easy as a scout.

I know its slightly off-topic but it fits in the same category.
Recently I was taking down a Tank with my SL, of course I had to reload. While I was reloading, an AR stole the kill. 
Shocked me so much I almost got killed. 
This is why we can't have nice things.

I once took out a full health tank solo by spamming militia grenades way back when I just started playing. Recently, I blew up a shield tank with a STD Plasma Cannon. |

Yep, Swarm Launcher. Just started skilling into them. Love the stupid things.
Not good for my Skill Points, trying to save up.

never would of thought SL stands for swarm launcher. lol
i have it level 3, thats about it. Takes care of pesky lavs or weak havs easy enough.

Perhaps you are talking about Marauders (Sagaris & Surya) which were taken out when Uprising came on early May (yes I know there was ten days of uprising before 'commercial' release)
Killing a marauder with a shotty would be really something, I'd salute you and do a rofl.
But then again, the finishing blow can be done by pretty much anything besides an elbow... |

My most memorable tank kill was probably on this dumb Maddy who backed up onto me and didn't even see me. Three remote explosives later he starts booking it like no tomorrow only to be finished off by two rounds of my..... *pause for effect*.... Standard flaylock pistol! |

i knova knifed a tank once. Technically i stole the kill my slashing the tank twice when it was about to blow up

I believe he is tricking you to thinking that he is talking about HAVs, he is talking about how he killed an Enforcer starter dropsuit from back in beta ^^. |

i was there! every bit of damage was from shotguns. lol. he was a pretty dumb pilot, but doing 6000 dmg to a tank does take a minute.

mine is back in 1.3 with so many LLAVs was once, knifing a enemy dealing no DMG then suddenly a yellow streak and a +50 on my screen and a awesome LLAV with no one in it had a good killstreak b4 tossing it in the redline  .
btw, did that tank have reppers? I've stolen a few madrugars and gunlogis WITHOUT REPS!!! just ridiculous how
people say tanks are UP then I steal/kill fits without reppers!
