So I just got the adv Gallente Assault dropsuit, basically going the assault route and I wanna know what's the best way to go about fitting it, I hear it's splended for armor tanking, but I read that it has the +5% shield recharge rate which makes me think i should shied tank this baby....buuutt isnt shield tanking a scout tactic?

The 5% shield recharge rate was the all-around assault bonus (all races get the bonus). It's not very useful for Gallente, but it's still a great suit (and the bonus to reduced PG/CPU of hybrid weapons is glorious). I'm skilling into it myself now, actually. |

*once you max out or get lvl 4 proficiency in weapon, swap damage mods for complex shield extenders.

Hybrid weapons are two weapon variants (rail gun and blaster) that both use the same ammo. Railguns fire the entire projectile at the speed of "**** you", and blaster tech processes the round into a ball of plasma, then fires the "molten orb of **** you" at the enemy's face.

The Gallente Assault just doesn't compete with it's logi counterpart sadly.
The only instance I would recommend the galente assault over the logi is if you need a sidearm because you''re running swarms. I can get a suit that's got more effective hitpoints and allows me to put basically everything I can put on a gallente assault....except the sidearm.
My common fit runs an allotek hive, proto link, proto scanner, and advanced re's....along with a 4.6 move speed and about 800 ehp with 2x damage mods.
That doesn't even factor in the 7 reps a second I get.
Overall...I'd run Gallente logi broseph. You just get more bang overall for your buck.

The best way to go is not going assault,but LOGI.

The generalized aspect of that bonus is admitted to be broken as of now, and only works for the race said bonus is found under.
So check the make of the suit before you skill into it.

Realistically if you play cautious you can get away with lvl 1 assualt suit.
But on abv gallente: 1 enhanced sheild ext, 1 complex damage mod, gek, smg, m1's, 1 enhanced armor rep, 1 complex and 1 enhanced armor plate and cats will question their own duvolles.

^Very true! when i went from the adv, caldari and went to standard assault I kicked slightly more ass and didnt feel like i was at any disadvantage, the suit kicks ass surely, i just wanna know how to make it the epitome of ass whoop. |
