I thought I'd rant about how the game is pure ******* trash.
Bought it years ago for the online multiplayer, tried it tonight and realised why I have only played it less than 10 times.
1) you will almost always be on the losing team
2) snipers are ridiculously overpowered, they even have airstrikes.
3) in a tank, anybody can run up to you, plant C4 on your tank and instantly blow you up.
it doesn't even matter if you're moving because infantry can keep up with tanks.
4) when you die the camera often swings round to where you got killed from before triggering your
death animation.
5) the pause (or lag) before you get knifed, you will be OHK'd a lot by people knifing you from behind.
6) you get random headshots or get randomly headshotted because the bullet spread is over the top.
7) you can snipe with a pistol.
8) the engineer seems to have the best OHK rifles.
9) if you don't use magnum ammo and the LW pack you will ALWAYS lose to somebody who does.
10) the lag before you die
11) you CANNOT strafe
13) you cannot strafe 1cm whilst sprinting
14) you get stuck on **** which you should be able to walk over, not jump over
15) campers, sometimes your entire team is doing nothing but camping
16) the game froze after 30 minutes of play
17) scrubs get lucky, A LOT
18) there is a 1.7gb patch, it's mainly new maps, one of which is so HUGE you won't even feel the desire to play it.
19) tanks at your spawn point.
And yeh I got my ass kicked but I've barely played the game and I'm going up against people who've played it for the last 3 years and have all the gear.
It probably gets a bit better but that list is short of a few things I'm forgetting. That's only in the first 30 minutes of playing it!!!

it looks like a really good game and it's fast and frantic, the sound design is great and you feel a real sense of danger and immersion.
I'll admit I like the campaign but when it comes to the multiplayer there's too much cheap and overpowered crap going on
and your character moves like a slug. why can you bunny hop to the moon and back but not strafe??

I'll admit I like the campaign but when it comes to the multiplayer there's too much cheap and overpowered crap going on and your character moves like a slug. why can you bunny hop to the moon and back but not strafe?? its weird and i haven't played BC2 since BF3 was released but back when i still played it those with the most momentum and sense won the game, or those with the most imagination, i saw people getting tanks in unexpected places and using out of bound zones to get behind the enemy lines, had a lot of fun on it. that said did have some really crappy matches at times, like one squad rush the other team just camped our spawn, it got really aggravating, all in all though the good stuff outweighed the bad. oh and i think the most ridiculous thing i ever saw in that game was being sniped by a shotgun at 500m.
I understand I just need to get better and not end up on the losing team.
yeh spawn camping and getting destroyed in general is ridiculous, the games are way unbalanced and then it
automatically puts you in the same game as those people who just destroyed you by over 100 soldiers.
You do have to have momentum but I can't when I'm getting stuck on the terrain and I can't strafe,
if you stay still you will be knifed or picked off instantly, which I guess is good but sometimes you just want to defend an objective without getting knifed in the back.
But the random headshots and scrubs getting very lucky is pretty out of hand.
I also understand that I should probably play BF3 or BF4 (is bf4 good by the way) but I play what I have,.
My PS3 is ravaged from freezing 1000s of times.
