And all I have to say is...
Dat Lai Dai
Was in the new Gallente Research Facility, I was sitting up on the edge in between the two silo looking things (Alpha on the left, sniper killer on the right) and given that this thing has a THIRTY METER RANGE and can repair TWO PEOPLE AT ONCE? Those two heavies kicked -SO MUCH ASS- it was hilarious. Five or six guys would run in there at a time trying to kill these two dudes, grenades were going off all over the place and they just survived it all. One got down to an 8th of his armor but just shot right back up.
And the best part? I didn't do a damn thing. I just watched it all. It was like a snuff film down there.
First place with 3/3 and 3,500 WP. I'd have gotten a lot more if it still gave me Triage/Guardian points after a while but it stopped

I'm about to get mine... lvl4 at the moment... it is the last support equipment that isn't proto yet. My hit detection sucks so I have to do only support.

You'll be tempted to use the Core Focused Repair tool due to it's incredibly HP repair rate but that's more for when you know the person you're working with. We use a tactic in our corporation in which the logi will crouch down directly behind the Heavy and the Heavy will strafe to keep the target from firing on the Logi while he reps him. If you can find a buddy to do this with, he'll be nigh invincible. 175 HP/sec is -insane- and the only way to really put it down is to use a grenade or a sniper rifle unless you like being torn to shreds by an HMG.
The Lai Dai on the other hand, while very resource intensive, works wonders for everyone because of it's range. It doesn't repair as much but when you can sit on top of a roof and repair the person down in the trenches, there's a lot of room for error.
I will also inform you that even though it doesn't say it in the description, these things can heal Installations -insanely fast-, vehicles as well. With the Lai Dai Flux you can repair a low flying Dropship so they don't need to head back to a supply depot or rely on modules.
All in all, 1.6 has made these damn things amazing
Edit: another thing, you can't truly appreciate the 30 meter range until you see it for yourself. I'd imagine it's going to become a crutch for me

Just played a match where about 3 people in my squad had repair tools and probably more did on the enemy team, kills that weren't from grenades were incredibly rare and the sheer amount of eps earned from 2 guys trading hmg fire and refusing to die led to a whole bunch of traded ob's (packed city map). These things are probably the most efficient way of getting eps right now. Even more so than killing people |

I think vehicle remote reps / shield transporters have 25m range.... they should have much more range, due to them being vehicle modules. Oh well, I wonder in what shape they will return?

Vehicle reppers should just be proximity based. Having to lock on and drive at the same time is too cumbersome to be practical.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Infantry based, sure, but vehicles just need better lock mechanics. A very common suggestion is to move the remote repairers to the turrets.
