After coming back and putting my points in a way that allows me to keep boredom away, I'm about to go back to my beloved logi suits.
I'm looking at them right now and the choice is obviously between Gallente and Minmatar. I'm hanging on Minmatar because i've still got that SVER suit and the 4/4 high/low slots is looking awfully nice, but I KNOW i'm going to go Gallente because that equipment bonus is just too good to pass up. Just got to get the suit past standard first.
So what do you guys go for and why? I really want to hear from some pro-Amarr Logis cause that suit is...really something. |

I have two characters, this one a Min Logi and the other an Amarr Logi. I have them both at ADV, but I've experimented with the Aur protosuits on both. The Amarr Logi is absolutely bonkers if you can get used to its low speed, as with the current metagame, not many people will be able to beat a bricked-out or gank-tanked Amarr Logi with an AR/SMG combo. It's arguably the best medium frame for point defense. The only bad thing is its useless skill bonus- increased efficiency of armor repairers is just useless when you're carrying Wiyrkomi triage hives. The Min Logi is sweet due to its fast speed, and 4/4/4 is just such a versatile slot layout. The hacking bonus is way more useful than one might initially think- 25% base reduction is the equivalent of a complex code breaker, which costs 11PG.

The Gallente, if you want the Proto. Plus, the Gallente Assault that you pick up along the way isn't terrible either.
That 'Sever' Logi is totally worth building out and staying positive in your wallet. I can't speak of their Assaults.
(I say go for the BPO first. If you don't like it, respec is inbound in 1.7 - 1.8)

Advanced Amarr Logi and Caldari! Caldari for repping and reviving, and Amarr for area denial, uplinks, and nanohives! Though they both use nanohives...

- Gallente is pretty cool to use, 25% less on equipement allow you to have a TRUE logi who can hold (i play with this one)
- Minmatar well I think they are like scout but with a medium armor (25% on hacking). I know that a guy in my corp is able to hack a null canon in more or less 3 seconds with one of them.
- Amarr have both main and a sidearm, but the standard only got 2 equipement slot. 3 slot with an advanced armor and I don't know for the proto. In theory, if there is suppose to be an "assault" logi, he should be Amarr.
- Caldari well I don't really know about them, I know I like to kill them, but except that... Some players use them as "tank logi", it doesn't worth a gallente in that way, but they are for sure great opponents.
As a proto gallente logi, I can tell you I can use repair tool, injector, nanohives and scanner (all advanced, I don't have enough SP for the proto) and still have a duvolle and almost 1000HP (and only a lvl 2 on PG and CPU bonus). With my basic dropsuit full milice except for the standard BPO assault rifle, i have almost HALF my CPU/PG left. |
