Please in 1.7 or 1.8 add a feature where matchmaking would be made by the total amount of SP. So if i have 700'000 SP i would be in group 500'000 to 2'000'000. And so on. Why? So you don't go against CEOPyrex (He made my K/D go 0/15) and hes Legendery Proto team or a whole team with duvoille AR. Please inpliment this so new players can play against someone like them. Share your thoughts. ( Also no offense to CEOPyrex ) |

I played a game with him in it earlier and I didn't know he was THAT good but thanks for the heads up and I will try to put that name in my mental rolodex .
Oh yeah , this is a good ideal and makes since . Then by the time that you have to face him and others like him , you will be ready and on a fair playing ground .

I liked the other guys idea.
A Militia only game-mode. Where only the starter fits and/or bpo items are permitted.
Basically it would be a way for vets to earn isk, and a way for new players to earn sp without going 3/17.
Because lets just face the facts. The war academy is a joke. Any decent player can complete it within 1-3 battles. Then they get thrown into lions den just to get face raped by proto stompers.

That's not going to work.
The vets will just pull out their exiles with proficiency 5. Good luck competing with someone with +15% damage and 38% more health than you. |

I have this posted in the thread " Ideas for match types" But it is worth reading :)
There really needs to be matches that are only for militia, then max standard, then max advanced, then proto level is the holy grail of matches(besides PC, and honestly not everyone can get in a PC), and if people in militia want to brave it out and donate in the proto level, then by all means let them. I think since it is 16v16 , small numbers to be honest, then we should have the option to fight in max tier type matches. This would give new players (like me) a chance to gain SP based off skill, rather than off of gear. It would also make some interesting matches.
Yes I know there should be a reward to people who have done the grinding and have 30+ million SP, and can get 20 or more kills in a match with no deaths, with 20k to 70k players on I am certain that there will never be a shortage of matches to get into or people in militia gear wanting to strut their stuff in the proto matches.

Dropsuit Collective Meta Tiering
Low Tier: Dropsuits with a collective Meta level (Meta level of Dropsuit + Weapons + Equipment/Modules) of 0- 8
Mid Tier Dropsuits with a collective Meta of 9-14
High Tier Dropsuits with a collective Meta level of 15 or higher.
Only fittings within that collective Meta level would made available for that particular match.

So vets in starter fits versus the new players ???? Does that sound appealing ???? What about the skill factor being thrown into the mix , you know the fact that a newer player doesn't have anywhere near the skill set in their pinky finger to match up with a vet . I'm level five in a few skills and I am NOWHERE ( I am thankful for being in a team and even more so , when I play with players who understand the concept of team ) ready to match up against a vet . That takes TIME and WORK , so I just don't believe that's a good ideal .
Yes the academy does need work but you will be thrown in with advanced players anyway , so why not get seasoned by the best .
I can't understand why there are games where you are basically playing against a corporation or several for that matter . Why isn't the system set up where it goes by total war points or skill points for that matter ???? How hard could that be ...???... and for that matter , actually that could form a system of training , going by levels and steps until you can go against prototype players and hold your own .
What I'm really thinking is that , the only reason that they won't set up a real system is because those prototype players would probably get tired of playing against their own and beating up on each other so they give them the lesser tier players to beat up on to keep their interest . But to me that would be a real way to see who is actually the best of the best .

I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

I'm really interested in how your idea would break down. A little more info, please?

I'm really interested in how your idea would break down. A little more info, please? It would simply allow more freedom in what you can use in a match like an ADV Gallente log with all prototype equipment or a prototype Minmatar logi with all ADV/STD gear. Having everything based on a flat total meta level would add severe limitations on builds that rely on fitting reduction bonuses. Factoring meta level in the match rewards equation is a whole different story.
