with all the new hit detection improvements TTK has became too short for certain weapons, such as the AR which makes even heavys die in a matter of seconds!
so I want to remove the 10% buff from CERTAIN weapons weapons as the start of re-balancing weapons. heres the weapons that should lost their DMG buff.
- AR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its currently king making almost all suits useless!
- SCR, it already deals a ton of DMG already and its another AR, such as the combat rifle and rail rifle will be.
- NK, WE NEED TO NERF ANOTHER SCOUT WEAPON!!!! JK.
- all auto-fire weapons other than HMG. (seriously, my scout with 241EHP can tackle them HEAD-ON at 40+M)
the new hit detection seems to favor the rapid-fire weapons rather than the single/burst fire weapons, probably because spray-and pray is easier while still very accurate if you aim.
- trees, if they fall they'll crush everything! no, wait they need added first!
remember, when you first see lightning play in a open field!

The TTK is seriously way too low. Scout frames can be hit from miles away, and still be instakilled, heavies are getting every bullet landing on them, and assaults...don't have it too bad, actually.
CCP wants me to specialize? But there's so many weapons!

thats funny.
i thought hmg was back on top as cqc master.
as the ppl trying to run towards the heavy with hmg guns blazing are dieing alot more often now. |

I believe that people are dying faster because others are being more responsible with their skill points and incorporating a plan on what's important to them and carrying that plan out . There are MORE skilled players , meaning their weapons skills are better and their need for " kill power " means more than a suit or mods even . That's why they kill better but can be killed just the same and by lesser weapons , if you can withstand the initial rush .
People read YOUR post and threads and use that knowledge to figure out and incorporate a " game plan " because they might not have the gear , but they WILL have the skills to kill .

No weapon should do >100% damage anywhere other than the head hit box. And, that multiplier should be consistent across ALL weapons. Not one with 65% efficacy and one with 450% efficacy.
If it's 20% more effective against Armor, for example, then it should do 100% to Armor and 80% to shields - not 100% and 120%. If it's an anti-Armor weapon, then it should do its full damage (100%) to Armor, not additional. This current methodology aggravates me to no end.
TL;DR: +1 (and then some)

yea, and scouts also got a buff. turns out scouts are fine too!
point is that it was a band-aid buff to help them out, and they feel incredibly weak still! I've been killing heavys just as easy as before, that band-aid buff was fairly weak but at least it helped them out! and, no I'm not a heavy!
the TTK has been incredibly short since 1.4 and the game is starting to feel like COD, pull out an AR and do good! hit detection improving made ARs and other weapons (especially rapid-fire weapons) much stronger, to put it in short peoples done the math and found the MLT AR to drop a heavy in 2.5 seconds!!! I haven't seen someone do the math for a duvolle AR with 1 complex DMG mod and proficiency maxed!
or even a duvolle without mods or proficiency!
removing the 10% buff to alot of weapons would help balance the game, but removing it from some weapons would make it useless *looking at HMG* the MD doesn't need to lose it either, sure its a noobtube (like the AR) but it has a long TTK (unlike AR) making it sort-of balanced ATM.
