I did the free trail though, got kicked from a corp for knowing too much about EVE, they thought I was an alt sent to steal their secrets. |

3 because of 2.
Got interested in DUST because one day I was reading an article about how successful EVE's Fanfests were, and got interested in EVE, led to finding DUST. I had a PS3 and no computer so this is the closest I get to New Eden, for now.

I don't have a computer (by choice). But I wouldn't play EVE because it would consume my life.
I learn about Dust 1 month before the open beta from an EVE player. He talked to me about New Eden for about 2 hours and then I was sold to it!

And I don't feel like saving up 200 dollars at a rate of 20 a week.
But, just a question, is there an age limit of Prepaid cards?

Eve is awesome in every way, totally brutal and fights are never fair. That said, to truly "see" EVE, you need a monster video card in your PC so you can run it in full High Def. its gorgeous. |

IGN podcast BEYOND! about DUST514. They started talking about the economy and how a loss means you lost it and about the single shard. Downloaded the 14 day trail while the podcast was playing and then started a subscription about two days later. I have played DUST and EVE almost every day. Going on two years.

You are missing out. Get a greendot card and put $15 a month on it. TOTALLY worth it, if you like Sci-Fi, space ships and playing a game that is very difficult and very fun (when you don't hate it). The community is the best. I joined FW to see what it was all about and went to do some plexing. I ran from the first ship that entered the plex I was in. The mocked me by saying good fight and I told him it was my first time in FW.
He told me to get a navy comet and I said I really didn't have the ISK. He gave me 20M and told me to go buy one, I flew it once and met my CEO. Moved to null a week later after joining the corp. That was 6 months ago and I haven't been in that ship since the that day. Great game.

4 and 1... I sub to eve maybe once every 6-12 months or so. get that long skill done, blueprints researched, long manufacturing, PI junk constructed, datacores done, and a lot of my market orders have sold. Keeps me busy for about a month building my mini personal empire, then let it sit for another long period. I don't like doing subs, so that's how I play, but I'm not complaining. |

I actively played EVE for 4 years, but due to RL no longer had time to seriously devote to it. I still have an active account, and my 128M SP main character is skilling up. You never know.
For the people choosing option "2" - EVE client can be run quite efficiently even on low end machines. You don't have to buy a hard-core gaming rig for EVE. Really.
For the people choosing option "4" - you can pay EVE subscriptions with PLEX, an in-game item purchasable with cash and/or ISK. The current price is cca 600M ISK for PLEX (one month game-time extension). The only problem is that grinding this amount of ISK per month could be quite difficult for a new player, so you'll probably have to pay your subscription with cash for the first couple of months. |

I don't think so but I don't know. Even if you are too young to get one yourself a parent or guardian may be able to sign up for one. They used to sell game time codes in the form of cards you could buy at stores but I think they stopped doing that. Good luck.
P.s. I will post a link here soon where you can use my name to buy the first month. If you buy the fist month using my name I will receive a PLEX. If you do and I receive the PLEX I will give you the PLEX. 14 day free trial, one month paid and then a PLEX is 2.5 months of gameplay for $20. Each month after that is $15.
