...there is no longer any reason to deny Logistics players Vehicle Repair Points, nor Anti-Vehicular p,layers and Vehicle players their Vehicle Damage points. CCP no longer has any reason to deny us these sources of WP, so let us have them back already!
For those that know not of what I speak, CCP has implemented an across-the-board WP limiter, similar to how they limited the Repair Tool's WP when healing other players. With this, the amount of WP you can get within a minute or so is fixed. The more potential WP you can get, the worse you feel it.
So yea, I've said my piece. Give me back my HAV, LAV, Dropship, and Instalation healing points. Give the Forgers, the Swarmers, the REs, the HAVers, and the Plasma Cannoneers their damage points. Return to us our halcyon days...

Also, on a related note, can we get points for depleting a dropsuit's shields now? I'm sure snipers and heavies will be overjoyed to know that suppression is actually being rewarded as a viable role on the battlefield.

Didn't they raise the cap for WP to about 500 per minute? So 10 minute games, with all these ways to earn WP, could lead to people earning in 5k WP... and with orbitals being as cheap as they are...

I stopped playing a bit before that update with the "log in every day bonus" thing (didn't do that either actually) and it was because I was tired of healing for nothing when it felt like I should really be getting those points.
I'm talking when I was in a relatively large stand-off at a letter and i'm going back and forth and putting triage into effect and healing everyone...and 50 seconds into it I stopped getting anything for it because I was doing my job well before that went down.
I always gravitate towards a support role in team-based games and every time I tried again here I just got put back down.
So I tentatively agree with this. Not sure how things have changed yet. I might withdraw if I ever actually play again and it seems like the Logi-game is a bit better. |

This is an issue with Orbitals, not WP. I've ranted on this subject at length, but the bare bones are as follows.
Getting Orbitals because of WP is braindamaged.
WP are just to show us how much people contribute to a battle at a glance.
Ergo, WP for Orbitals is dumb, and gives stat padders and abusers rewards for abusing.
