I feel like RPG style weapons would greatly expand the style and gameplay of Dust 514.
How many of you have ever played Mass Effect? Do you remember how you could customize Shepard and his squads weapons? Sort of like that, but more indepth.
It would be fun with a sliding scale to have a weapons bench in our merc quarters where we could fine tune every aspect of our weapons. We could sit down and see our weapons intimately and we could rock an expanded view of them like another game I played.....I don't remember if it was Battlefield 3 or Army of Two: 40th Day...it was one of those games.
But we would keep all the skills we have now, but instead of just simply upgrading them we also get to purchase pieces too. That would require more ISK for our fittings of course....and I suppose that would suck? They'd have to be cheap. It would also be good if we could choose colors, material types and things like that.
It would also be good to have 1,000 different fundamental combinations that yield different results and no longer be confined to the numbers that are there. Like special events (Squad cup) could yield rare pieces that make significant changes to our weapons. Perhaps a stability dampener that reduces the Duvolle rifles kickback to 0....they would be ultra rare, very few and only awarded to champions.
I just thought it would be good and let us all have the chance to be equal and build juggernaut weapons over time with our own creativity instead of Forge Guns or Mass Drivers just being overused on a one shot, one kill battlefield.
I think its ridiculous the forge gun acts like a heavy sniper rifle...because often they will position 1-3 at A on border gulch and you can't even get close to it. That's war, I'm aware...but its not good for a game to be fun.
Anyway...that's all, gotta get back to work. |

I'm all for more customization. But let's at-least wait until all the weapons are in the game! :P

Attachments are confirmed in DUST. Most trailers feature an AR with some sort of attachment, like a grenade launcher or a reflex sight. Hopefully, attachments could come soon, like 1.9/2.0-ish. |

CCP is rather slow when it comes to this topic i pondered on how to implement this very nicely but sadly im not telling CCP how because im not getting paid for this and i may add it to a video game of my own if i ever make one
