Regardless of wether or not the effect is a 2nd Match "Placebo Effect".....I must say something has significantly improved (*Gasp*.....did he really just say that??? *Pinch*). For the very 1st time since Uprising 1.0 I was finally able to both see & maintain sight on Targets well past 80M. Even the Installations don't "Casper" after 1 hit anymore. I......can......SEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
It's kinda sad that I'm excited over a Fix that shoulda happened ages ago....as if it were a Buff. I can't help it though..... I feel as if I'm Rock Lee or Piccolo after dropping the weighted clothing, or better yet Zaraki Kenpachi after taking off my Eyepatch I see how it is now.....I'm hip to your little "Game". Gimp 'em & punish S&M style 'till they submit, then pat them on the back while handing them bread 'n water. Stockholm Syndrome has set in.... *Slow Clap* GG CCP, you win this round
PS: Vehicle & Installation Reps via Rep Tool need a Buff to properly scale to the new variables. The imbalance is most visible on the Core Focused. 4 more days 'till I'm Unbanned.....I'll be silent 'till then, peace |

But if what you say is true, and rendering has been rendered rational, It's a big day for foundations and core mechanics.
Yes it took a long time, but on the other hand CCP has been working hard to improve and optimize many existing systems. As these things get crossed off the list more & more devpower can be focused on fewer and fewer technical debt issues. [Don't slow down on this CCP, kill it all now, because your reviewers and critics have been made hyper-sensitive to these issues and will pounce on anything left undone. This is the only, i repeat only only only way to dig us out of that hole. Did i mention only?]
Sooner, rather than later, those devs will have nothing left to work on but.....what's the word? It's been so long....back in the old days we used to say.....Ummm.....damn.
...y'know, that stuff where you do things, and then you do something else, and then try something different with you buds...?
Oh! Yeah, that's it!

I just got back home.... I'll try again in a bit, but from what I've read on other Topics.....it's still botched. I suppose it was a "Fluke" as per being the 1st 2 Matches early after we went Live. I thought it was safe to assume all was well based on the fact that every Update before this, even under these same conditions, showed no positives.... |

Update: It seems the Rendering Issues are still there, but far less frequent, & much more manageable. If an Installation goes "Casper" now you may @ least correct it by refocusing after a small LoS Break, whereas prior to 1.6 it was a lost cause. RDV, Vehicles & Infantry render @ significantly longer range, but have a chance to "Casper" (Infantry).....even in CQC, but at far less frequency. This can also now be corrected by breaking LoS. I have yet to come against a Swarm @ range....so I cannot say wether or not Invisible Swarms are still an issue, but I have seen Forgers at greater range with greater frequency & can at least fire back or evade properly so far.
Overall I'd say it's basically been a gradual Render Fail over all Updates since Uprising came about, but @ least 1.6 seems to have taken a step in the right direction by alleviating 3 Updates (1.3-1.5) worth of Rendering Issues. Should some Hotfixes come to further remedy, or 1.7, then we may hopefully get 3 more Updates worth of regression, thus bringing it right back to Chromosone *Crosses Fingers*
Side-Note: I only noticed this on 1 Map so far (4-Point with Hillside East & Rocky Road West of D, with D underground & A+B in Low-Cover City), but it seems some Map Assets were removed.....correctly @ that as there were no Invisible Collisions where the small fallen structure once was (I may be mistaken since Sockets now vary slightly...but it feels about right). This may be contributing to the seemingly better Rendering. Just a guess.... I'll play more on Saturday to find out.....busy week & wanna make Cost Efficient use of my Booster |

I still have issues where redberries come up on scan but are invisible to me until after I drive past them. vehicle rendering still needs alot of work. |

People still pop in as close as 60m, and sometimes a swarmer won't be visible at 85, activate the scan, roll back 20m, roll forward and they light up and draw.
Turrets are hit and miss, the base turrets on Spine crescent are almost permanently invisible.
Very frustrating. |
