Right off the bat graphics are even better and movement is a lot smoother, aiming and hit detection actually make sense too from sniping, shotgunning, to pistol shooting, everything turns smoothly and hits perfectly so far. Knives seem to definitely have improved though the lunge feature would still be nice due to range.
Scouts
The boost in radius is amazing, the only down side is the hit detection leaves us DoS though, so speed is less relevant than before.
Also you won't be taking down heavies like we used to, my god near the end of the match I was barely able to put a dent in them but was able to keep harassment up, my team got destroyed by a squad a heavies with commando reppers, never saw that one before.
Militia Dropships
They fly amazingly well and since that is why I have used for cheap hot spot ferrying this is major, they are not as clunky and respond accordingly, which threw me off initially.
Overall, I can live with a month of this because the actual flow of the game has improved and role mechanics have been reinforced bit more.

Yeah, there'll be a few people riding on the Commando since their HP increased. I don't expect it to last long. I also had gotten a Cala's MK-33 Submachine gun as I turned back to my TV's screen to see the results of an Ambush after reading your post. Are you a wizard?

My review wasn't that deep,
aiming and moving aren't that hard to catch,
noticing the ehp buff of heavies + rep tool was effective (probably should add that heavies aren't perfect yet, but you get my point, right direction)
Radius buff is is clear as day
piloting the militia drop ship is obvious right off the bat, literally night and day

I would image spike damage would be the most effective method but rep tool support made any 2 second downtime for reloading a nightmare.

The frame rate itself is greatly improved during your personal first match. That's because the PS3's small amount of ram hasn't been raped to death by the memory leak yet.
If you get an open map with minimal structures, such as Manus Peak, you will actually get a relatively stable 30+ FPS.
After a few matches, as your ram gets bogged up, that all goes away. |

pardon my ignorance, I see what you are saying now, but if that is the case I don't think I have experienced my first matches to perform on that level before on other days, so the only two extraneous factors present are the server just opening up or the update.

Well, i can confirm that im about 4 matches in now and my frame rate has indeed seized up and gone to hell.
The hit detection is actually being remarkably responsive even after the frame rate drop though. Much more than I would expect.
It should, theoretically, degrade throughout the day just as the EVE servers also have a degraded response time (there is a reason they shut off and reboot every day).
If the hit detection is consistent for the next 24 hours, I'll consider this a win on some level. |
