Hey guys,
I don't usually snipe but a string of bad games over the course of the day made me ask myself what is the most laid back way to play the game that will not enrage me even further. Me and my friend decided to snipe. I just have level 2 sniper rifle operation and was happy to just use my tactical. Then I did OMG this (595.34 meter kill ) and now I want to skill into the sniper a bit further....
Wish My plasma cannon had a scope so I could troll with it.... HINT CCP

A few days ago, somebody and his friend was camping out by themselves on a tower, one with a NT and the other with a Charge. It was a Skirmish so I had all the time in the world to snipe them with my Covenant sniper and suit. Not my fault they kept spawning on an uplink repeatedly, only to die again and again.
I go commando in my Commando. Feels good, man.

I miss being able to pop a merc at 600m with my rail gun but because of the rendering issues the furthest kill I can get is about 200m
Its gone from suck .....to blow

I have had a 596.68 meter shot... I believe the longest you can shoot is 599,so im still going for that..... I think you could shoot further in Beta

Yeah, 600m atm afaik. Sniper rifles used to be able to do over 1km hits :D

I've got one better than that:
Ashland Ambush map. The enemy had set up camp on the pipes, so I spawned in a Thale's and headed north. By the I turned scope on them the rest of the team had cleared them off.
I then received reports from my squad about some snipers to the east. I couldn't see them, so I headed that way on foot. I find a big pile of them at F-12. I take out three with a submachine gun. But (with the exception of one who had just spawned in) they hadn't noticed my presence. So I pull up the scope and headshot the remaining four from 3-6 meters away.

Ah, back in the good old days of the SR. I really miss that render distance. Even if my bullets can't hit you, at least I could provide the team with all the intel they needed. But damn did I love Thale-ing enemy redline snipers from my redline.
On topic, I highly suggest you spec into SR. The Charge and Ishukone are nasty if you're a logi and have a ton of damage mods. |
