Actively takes you away from time playing Dust 514 by being more enjoyable, fleshed out, well rounded, and straight up deeper and more engaging you know something is ******* wrong.....
Yay first ultimately bitter rage thread. Am I cynical vet now? Or just coming to the same realisation all those before me have also come to?
Seriously Slay is supposed to endorse Dust.... but its a vastly better game.

The Reign of the Golden Emperor
((War between SoTaPoP, Aqua Regia, True Adamance, Aero Yassavi, and Void Echo))
With the mighty nations all arrayed against one another over the incident involving the the Purple Lord's indiscretions with the White King's Mistress, the druken slurs the Blue Farseer made against the Lord Marshall of the Red Nation, and the on going mining disputes between the Golden Empire and the Green Coaliton the stage was set to plunge the continent into yet another Great War.
Opening hostilities started with the Blue Conclave seizing three regions of the map, the Northwestern Passage, the Southern Coasts, and the terrorist ridden deserts to the East.
Meanwhile the Golden Empire and White Kingdoms began to consolidate their powers in the South West clashing in numerous small scale skirmishes, while Green Coaliton Commandos launched sneak attacks against the Empire.
In the central mountain regions the Red Nation rose to absolute dominance sweeping aside the Northern Blue Conclaves with superior forces, seizing supply lines and starving the Conclave troops out of their homes.
In the fertile lands to the South the Purple Principalities engaged in brutal fashion the Conclave forces securing passage to the peninsula only to fall short with supply lines cut. The East was a mess of tangled empires and terrorist activities. In a show of power the Red Nation united its split lands and launched a massive offensive with bordering Principality forces against their enemies.
Meanwhile the Golden Empire was carving its way toward the Nations borders with surprising rapidity, making use of valuable exports and an advance military force. In tentative nature and fearing the amassed power of the Principalities and the Nation the Conclave reached out the Empire which offered protection for subservience. With no other option the Conclave submitted and became the Empires protectorate.
With newfound confidence the Conclave rallied in the East securing massice sweeps of land and driving the terrorists before them connected the Eastern and Southern Conclaves despite massive losses to the Empire. With great benevolence the Empire also extended its mercies to the White Kingdoms, beset by civil unrest and surrounding nations, offering land and peace, which was duly accepted.
Thrust out of the South and back to their Northern territories the Principalities began a campaign of unparalleled ferocity coupled with sly cunning to push through the Cuts and back into Conclave territory. However their burgeoning military was surrounded and cut down by Imperial Armoured Units.
With this turn the White Kingdoms of the East pounced and began the counter attack. Arrogantly however the Empire and Conclave had developed Titans, massive armoured units capable of bringing entire cities to their knees, however military funding was shifted from front line holdings to fund the project collapsing the economy and allowing the weakening Red Nation to counter attack deep into Conclave territory.
Months of bitter fighting saw the stalemate break with Imperial and Conclave forces driving out he valiant Red Nation Troopers pushing them back to their lines, leaving a trail of civil unrest and destruction. Reuniting once again with the Eastern Conclave saw the development of the Conclaves second Titan which by this point was sustainable.
However with the war seemingly decided and the Imperium issuing demands of the continents ruling members a meeting was called at the Imperial City where all nations were to disarm immediately saving the Empire itself, and the Nations self defence forces.
All in unanimous agreement the Aerous Pact, named after the Emperor, was concluded, and the Third War of As was ended.

Void Echo wrote:in the beginning I had attempted to take down the gold and blue territories before they had enough power to take the south, but I failed because all of my territories were separated by turrets I couldn't get passed which resulted in very week defenses that fell without struggle or much fight... sadly once my southern most territory was torn apart my presence in the central part fell to the golden territory and I was wiped out from the central part to the southern parts, so the south fell to blue and gold, all that was left was a hope of reclaiming my former purple glory and trying to take the north cap while at the same time fending off blue from the central to the south while red would have held back gold in the last effort to buy myself time, in the end thought gold cut off all my recourses and decimated my army without warning and thus I was eliminated.
gg guys, I expect more of these stories as we progress through the slay. You also extended your lines down the peninsula too far unassisted which saw you lose mechs, as well as calling first for an alliance with red, then me, then red again which you accepted, then again with the Gold Blue Alliance.
Admittedly you did have to deal with me attacking you across 4 fronts. I was everywhere. Mainly in the South, some in the North West, more to the East.

Very shortly after establishing the south west I had extended my reach far to the north and and saved your ass numerous times along my eastern border, as well as taking out enemy artillery cannons preventing your growth. Perhaps though out of cannon the poor hex selecting mechanics were the only reason my empire collapsed the first time, and there were a dozen times the Blue Conclave could have cut off your armies thus saving Red and Purple, and White...... which like a good solider I did not do.

Granted, Gold Empire could of decimated the Blue Conclave at enemy moment. Even if you divided my lands, each segment would have enough fire power to pound you into the ground. But I don't want to do that, Gold Empire are a peaceful people. We don't want to fight, we just want justice. That is all. Is that too much to ask?
This is what you call justice for that crap in the last story you wrote about telling me to disband my armies when peace was my prerogative.

Luckily, Beige was cool in the matter and did not retaliate, but it did set them back quite a bit. Because of this, when all the dust settled, the Red Empire was a fair chunk larger, but that was alright as their truce remained strong. I wish you could have been as mild in our other game.
You had 2/3 the map, I solidified my borders, gave you an ultimatum to retreat, and you did not condemning your people to EARE citizenship....and your started a war over it. Which I managed to hold out with less districts for a rather long time.

The next move, you decided 9 hexes was too large for an Embassy and attacked my land and my people. Don't try to spin this around, you were the aggressor.
9 Hexes is not an embassy. One is, and you started the war without re-establishing diplomatic relations, which I tried to endorse several times.

An embassy or embassy grounds is land given by the host country. So yeah I get to chose how big your embassy is, not just that but I gave you the ultimatum which you refused. The blood families are on your hands.
