This is the second time today where I've been so high AV couldn't hit me, not high enough to collide with the flight ceiling, away from any towers or MCC and yet my dropship will instantly drop to 0 HP, and fall burning out of the sky to death.
Really?
Do I need to run a video capture when playing this game to prove that you just troll dropship pilots?
No sound, no post-death damage screen. No indication of damage. No collision, no enemy in sight, no physical structure nearby, Full health, and just like a switch, 0 HP. Dead.
I've been flying long enough to know when there's no plausible explanation for my own death except spontaneous combustion, dev kill switch trolling, or some terrible and inexplicable bug. Don't try to tell me I'm wrong. Cameras will be rolling if this issue persists. |

Did you hit one of the invisible platforms in the sky?
They do exist, I even got out of my dropship and landed on one once about a month ago. |

No, I'm the one who has taken and submitted photo evidence of those locations months and months ago.
I know where they're all at and these were not maps with those issues. |

I have had this happen too. I marked the point on the map but was not capping games at the time. I did take a screen shot of the location, or what i think was the right location, and when trying to reproduce the error I took damage but only a small amount. I will see if I can find the picture.
I am hesitant to send this too you yet as I am not 100% sure of the spot as I was moving at high speed and had a camera angle and altitude that makes it easy to lose track of the exact spot. If I can reproduce I will update this thread.

There were reports of a tiles fixed high in the "air" you can land/crash a dropship on. Maybe you'v took collision damage from it?
Could it be possible that tiles are client side created?

no its not always tiles as I exploded randomly in that match with my assault ds, I went back and spent the rest of the match looking for the cause and I found ****.

this also randomly happens to me. idk why. i just want dust ceo's to be able to apply to alliances without having an eve player do it

I've found pixel wide slit you can shoot AR rounds through in consolidation matrix building. Why not dust pixels you can collide with and burn midair?

i had a dropship disapear, just poof gone. i still had full hp, just black screen for 1.5 seconds then i was on the ground. everybody confirmed that there was no crashed dropship but i lost the fit.
Can't wait for 1.7, ccp please fix everything with dropships

People are loosing their dropship's to the top of the skybox... there is some weird collision that happens and it like insta dies.. I think CEOPyrex even has an example of it hapenning on one of his recent video posts. |

As a true AV...I have spawned invisible and taken out dropships. Doesn't happen often, but it is possible. Sorry about your dropship.
