My first battle was before 2~3 months ago, got dust by searching play store for free games. My reaction was like ''Oooo free shooter, I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!''. First logged in was like ???? Yeah my first k/d was ~ 2/10. Also I didn't know anything about SP so i just spent it all on worthless skills. So many inocent clones got termaneited

I joined in closed beta. My first match was an ambush and I was terrible with my AR so I tried to dumbfire swarm launchers at people instead.
After a while it got better.

It would be cool if you could fire swarm launchers at infantry, just imagine a Proto heavy running away while 4 misiles are chaising him. Ahh such a nice view

LOL oh my god don't remind me.
Run button got stuck
Jump button got stuck
Crouch button got stuck
and half of the time they didn't work
First guy I came up against was crouched in a corner and it took 2 clips to kills which at the time was 80 bullets roughly.
It has TERRIBLE screen-tearing and lag which I have never seen before.
Also every time I spawned I was already dead because it took 5 seconds to actually load.
I got incredibly frustrated and uninstalled the game within 10 minutes. that's how bad it was.

It was possible, some time ago in the closed beta. It was stopped because... well. Being designed for killing vehicles, they did pretty horrendous damage to infantry. I think that's also why the current splash damage of swarm launchers is so low.

it was on sisi...
no corps no oms no installations(it was ambush) no academy no tutorials pretty sure the leader board only showed the top one hundred
the map was the old, old manus peak. missile fit shield tanks were FOTM they'd snipe on high all but invincible.
we had a FOTM tanker on our side I was grotesquely negative but it didn't matter (free suits). we lost.

I couldn't hit **** with 'em, I was better off with the scrambler pistol that thing was great as a sidearm. I don't know if it was the iron sights that did it but they don't feel right anymore.

My first match was an ambush with a squad of imperficts and pink fluffy bounty hunters on my side. I think I threw a grenade got 3 kills then we cloned them. It feels so long ago. |

I don't remember my first battle, but I remember the first time I ever flew a dropship. It was on Manus Peak in Open Beta. I got up and started going, when, all of a sudden, my butt popped up for some reason and I nose-dived into the ground. The kicker is, a few matches later, I got into a squad with who was to become my mentor. He started telling me about weapons, specifically, forge guns. He told me that a few matches earlier he had shot a DS down, on that same map, in the same manner, at about the exact same time I was shot down. No way to be 100% sure, but I believe he shot ME down. But that's in the past. He taught me much and I owe him for that.

My first battle was January 22nd, I had just downloaded the game overnight and was eager to play it. I login and go into battle after acquainting myself with some of the basic controls. I go into battle and I'm dropped onto Manus Peak on the southern team., I run up to the trapezoid building next to B and see a couple of reds, in what I would later discover were medium frames, coming toward me from C.
After a few seconds (and reloads) I down my targets, at first I was overjoyed that my first engagement went in my favor. Then I heard a dull WHOOMP noise and saw lights come from the sky near my position. I immediately decide this can't be a good thing and try to run under the trapezoid, but I was too far and the first shot from the warbarge was a direct kill. I look at the kill feed and notice I was the only one killed by the strange light from space called a "Precision Strike".
I decide to put it under the investigate later file and spawn back in at B, and see a peculiar sight, a very fat suit was walking around with a yellow light connecting him to another player. "Neat" I think and walk over to the strangely shaped object marked "supply depot." Suddenly I hear a binging noise and look over to see a somewhat smaller suit than my own running in circles around the heavy from earlier, the logi was nowhere to be seen, I open fire, hoping to help the heavy, but I had no skill points into weapons yet and was new besides so most of my shots miss.
Now I'm worried, I just saw a suit with far more health than me get downed faster than I had killed the 2 medium frames earlier. I try to backpedal away from the scout and end up running into the truck next to the depot. At this point the scout looks over and notices me and runs for cover inside the trapezoid as I was still well out of his range. I change my course and run as fast as I can away from the scout, unfortunately, "away from the scout" meant "towards the enemies base at A"
As I approach the base constantly checking behind me for any sign of the speedy killer I notice an enemy medium frame off on one of the spires, when I aim at him I see the tag Assault-sniper, but I also notice that it says I have a 20% effectiveness against him, I approach and the number gets higher so I walk up to him and shoot him in the head a bit and he dies. Suddenly my health drops and I lose all my shields, I realize I have fallen into a trap, but in my panic I run off the top of the spire and die from the fall.
"Darn" I think, and spawn back at B again. Only to see the scout once again dancing around the heavy, but this time I see the logi also trying to shoot the scout. I run up and fire a few shots myself and manage to get the kill. Again I hear a WHOOMP noise, but this time I'm ready and already hiding under the trapezoid building. As I'm hiding though, the killfeed says that only enemies were killed this time. Happy to have help, rather than give it I count out 7 kills from the strike.
The match finally ends and I was glad that it went so well, I came in 5th place on my team with the 150 warpoints I got from my kills.
And that was my first match, no video but I remember it well for some reason. In hindsight it was probably for the best that it wasn't a full match, in both player count and time. It let me ease into the game a bit more.

My first battle was back in closed beta, back when music played during the battle, skirmish 1.0 was around, and guns looked like they were crafted by a 5 year old
I spent the whole match trying to call down an installation. Then spent the time after to try and buy one.
It told me "No assets available" So I thought that meant it was time for me to buy some assets :/

my first game (let me rephrase that) my first month of games were all horrible lol.
But my first game.
It was before the war academy came out. I created two accounts that I played up to 3m sp (more on this later)
Was running ambush, (the map where you had to control a small bunker like area, made of of hills). I remember running up to the group of blues that were dug in there, and instantly dieng from a laser gun. Ah yes, this was when lasers were OP lol. Blink, you die. Move you live 2s more. Don't move, you get killed by a flux grenade.
(later)
I logged in, noticing that my sp had been reset on both my guys. This account, I fine tuned into an assault class, the other....heh, lets just say I had a logi dropship in the academy, and could just farm infinite isk, as std swarms/forges did nothing to me lol. Oh the poor redberries, luckily for them I wouldn't go low enough for my gunners to hit them (didn't want the assist points, as I didn't want to be kicked from academy)
This is still replicable, but requires an alt account on another psn, and alot of passive sp build-up. And you do not gain as much isk per game, due to lack of helping the team.
Ah....the exploitable days.
