From the longe range rifle to the 'minmatar shotgun' dust has got some interesting weapons of the support variety, so what do you think of their current standing in dust 514?

MD and LR are support weapons
Scrambler rifle is not a support weapon
PLC doesn't know if it's an AV weapon or AI weapon
Nova Knife is a "lets see what happens" weapon.
I may have deleted DUST but I still care deeply about this game.

As a Logi, I use the MD for support and it serves its purpose well, that much is certain. I have an alt that uses laser rifles and it fills its niche well. The Scrambler Rifle is the standard issue rifle for the Ammar and as such I do not class it as a support weapon, though I personally count the Tac AR as a support but I guess that is because of how I use it on my logi suit.
The Plasma Cannon is in a class of its own and that class is Troll.
Every now and then I read a comment on the internet and then I realise something very important...

Sinboto, we discussed this earlier today. MD and PLC are OP as hell. The LR needs an OBVIOUS  BUFF, and the SR is clearly the most balanced weapon in the game! Why do you need to have further discussion about it????

Oh... I personally cannot class it as an assault weapon, and currently given the game's stupid redlines I can't class it as a support weapon either, I'm going to call it the most precise orbital in the game.

MD could use some more smoke. Maybe not as much as Chrome, but enough to put people on tilt when you shoot at them. Breach just needs the same RoF as the standard, the slow fire rate is the only reason why I won't use it exclusively. I'd say give the MD in general a slight damage buff, but I'd rather see something to discourage buffer tanking as a whole.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

MD is the KS king. When I use it I'm like an uncontrollable hurricane and just womp-womp-womp-womp click-whirl-click all over the place, so I stopped using it in PC because it's too dangerous for my teammates.
LR melts shield tankers and even armour tankers. I was using some Burnstalks I got while back from some event or another... they're glorious. Level 3 LR operation, basic amarr assault suit, and I was destroying some guys in prototype gear because the underestimated how much damage I did and just stood firing at me as I burned a hole in their face.
SR is fun to KS with too, but to be honest when you only have SR operation 3 and use the NT-511 with no damage mods, it becomes more of a support weapon than MDs or LRs. Land 1 hit and the average enemy is down to 1/2 or 3/4 armour, easy pickings for your team pushing the front line. Landing headshots on non-moving targets is fun.
In conclusion: all these weapons aren't really support weapons. They can easily operate independently, and LR/MD/SR users don't have to support at all.
MDs would be more supportive if they could have swappable ammo to deal explosive or load flux charges.

i think the medium frame infantry need a LSW/LMG (light machine gun)
like in the minmitar concept art and the support weapons for that dropsuit class would be a bit more interesting^^
the BEST pilot in DUST 514, no.1 ranked pilot on BATTLEFIELD 3, and top 16 on WAR THUNDER.... come at me bro!
