and I've already hit one of the hardest decisions..... what is Shepards Pre Service Record..... I've sat in this screen for the last hour debating which record to pick.... I need help, my neuroses are too intense.
I figure that Shepard has to be Earthborn, he just has to, otherwise he doesn't have the link with Earth itself. I mean the man who stands against an intergalactic race of super apocalyptic machine monsters has to be a representation and figure of everything we Humanity stand for. It only makes sense he hails for there and was a renegade youth, like Captain Kirk, and almost all other space faring misfits.
But is the Psychological Profile that bugs me. Is Shepard a War Hero or a Sole Survivor of Akuze?
Both have their merits from story telling points, Akuze was Shepards Crucible, whatever he was before that is meaningless and who he has become to great will power and inner strength to achieve, not to mention he gets to rescue Toombs for Cerberus, my most hated of foes.
War Hero is equally meritorious, a single man becoming the super soldier and representative of Humanity that he was meant to be to achieve SPECTRE status, not to mention being able to talk down Balok in Bring down the sky and in ME3.

Yeah I am leaning to it heavily, since in reality none of the side missions matter, nor does Balaks presence mean of give anything to the War Effort in ME3, nor really affect ME2, in the same way Toombs utter denial of Shepard after he joins Cereberus does.

BTW Arkena which Class did you choose.... you can tell much about a gamer from their ME class choice....mhhmmm yes you can.
I am always a Sentinel... which I figure is A.) The coolest class in later game dues to insane combo's you can couple your skills with, B.) The bas ass shield armour, C.) Shepard has to represent the shield of humanity.... what better way that that than being the psychic tech knight class....

I don't remember all of my choices, I played them in messed up order(2,3, then 1 when a ps3 version finally came out) so I plan to start from scratch with one class all the way through. I'm leaning towards vanguard, tho. |

i just went all guns for the mass effect trilogy.
and became super rich in the first one.
i prefer the warrior class. i think thats the name? i havnt played it in a while.
i did war hero back ground also. so pretty much im a living statue of hope in some ways.
i only wish i could bring my impossible to over heat guns from the first mass effect into the others.. |

Omni Soldier was what I chose in the end because you could pick up the M-9 Tempest during the mission to get Tali.... TALI... and then cross spec your soldier on the Collector Ship, which I picked AR for the Geth AR you could pick up in the same mission for Tali....TALI.

I already finished ME2. Had ME3 since May but haven't played it yet. I decided to replay 2 because:
A.) I want that extra skill you get to carry on two ME3 (if it does) B.) Didn't quite like how my old Shepard looked C.) It's been a couple years since I played ME2 since my old disc broke. I picked up 2 and 3 for cheap at my local game store.
I picked war hero on my first go round. This time I picked sole survivor. I decided that it would better fit my vision for Shepard. Just think of what would better define your Shepard's character. This time I decided that my Shepard was great, not because of his superiority on the battlefield, but because he was able to come from the lowest point and claw his way out of the darkness. He alone made it, he didn't let it break him, he strove to achieve greatness.
But that was my choice. I'm sure by now you've already made your decision.

I can't remember the name of the class but it is the one that allows you to charge the enemies at a high speed with biotics in ME3. That class was fun to play, very cqc oriented. I think it was Vanguard, but I'm not sure. Adepts are fun as well, slow combat, but very fun all the same.

Yeah that is Vanguard. Pretty much the most fun class to play IMO. Also, requires some twitch skills since it can be difficult on some of the harder levels. |

I went for infiltrator, though I also played soldier for the adrenaline rush. Infiltrator + Widow = Instakills everywhere in ME2.
The Mattock was my other favourite weapon. It was a little broken in ME2 with adrenaline rush because the time slow didn't affect the rate of fire as it was semi-auto with no apparent cap, so you could pop adrenaline rush and empty an entire clip into someone's head. The firing sound was great with it though.
There was also this pistol... called the Phalanx or something. It has a blue laser sight and was really quite fun to use as well.

I preferred ME2 over ME 1 simply for the advancements and IMO the perfect sequel transition between ME1 and ME2.
Also the plot line follow a dirty dozen style plotline which I love.
ME 2 also was the origins of the badass Sentinel class...being my original class in ME1 when I was barely a fan.

That is correct, the Femshep's voice overs are allot better then the Mansheps version, ive tried playing it trough as Male shepard 3 times, just getting stuck on the voiceovers disconnecting me, Jenifer Hale does a real good job there.

Hehe funny i don't like to watch a Males back for 80 hours trough the trilogy (or any game for that fact), i did however have had no love intrests in 1, 2 and 3, so to get to those someday i will have to finish it with a male shepard.
Because i screwed up somewhere the character i liked the most died in the end (female), but will save who it was when you played trough your game, so i dont feed you spoilers.

Adepts FTW! I usually go with war hero and ship born though. Its funny in ME3 when Hacket mentions Shepards mother.
War Hero to me is how Shepard is supposed to be. He is trying to save as many people from a force of generally Dreadnought sized sentient Machines. So to me he would take the chances he did in the War Hero service record if it meant several more people would have survived.

Now there are facts, and there are opinions. However, there is such a case when someone has the right opinion. This is one such case. There is no debate.
But in all seriousness Liara is so very ew. I only liked her in the Shadow Broker stuff because they played it more like a buddy cop movie than an awkward, "you must romance her or else" thing.
