Nah, it would do far more than that. Like I said, a Large Laser strike already turns a district into glass (Well, a prolonged one lasting around 15-30 seconds). a DD is 2 sizes higher than a large.

I'd like to see the ability for EVE ships to just constantly bombard a point in PC as the ultimate area denial mechanism. I guess it'd be too cheap though, since people can just hack a point and order bombardment on it to seal it off. Unless the orbital bombardment also destroyed the NULL rockets... Mmm...

I was actually thinking about this the other day.
Granted, this particular ammo would probably not be introduced until a PS4/PC port but....
Bunkerbusting artillery, hammers the **** out of the AoE like Tactical Hybrid but also rubbles/heavily damages any structures in the AoE.
Structures would remain rubbled for the remainder of the match, in the case of PC, they'd remain rubbled until the holding corp paid the repair bill.

Not really you just need to be able to use each one, takes about 10 min to get all 3 turret types to level 3, now if you want t2 guns takes a bit longer. |

What I don't get, is that Minnies are using ammo that is of Gallente origin...?
They should have the dirty nukes they are famous for, or some artillery shells... This is just wrong.
Hybrids should have different effects depending on the turret they are fired from... (gal / cal).
Minmatar strikes need to be explosive area of effect strikes (more like hybrid strikes), while hybrid from rail turrets should be more like lazors, high damage small area of effect. While plasma should have more of an emp effect....
But this will probably not be adjusted before PC 2.0 hits (in 6-18 month)... |
