Currently there is no reason to spend real money on air unless you want to use something with out the skillpoint investment. The only reason anyone wants the aur suits when you have proto sp is to show off the camo in the savage, which you can't even do anymore. Thus no reason to buy the aur suits.
My suggestion is to keep the air suits but make them the same as their isk equivalent. Sell the camo patterns for aur and allow them to be applied to any suit or weapon. You will make a killing. I like many others am not willing to spend real money on an item that will disappear, hence the popularity of the bpos. However the desire for customization is there for many people. I might be wrong but this is one way MWO dies it.

How about sell a range of camo and colours for like 100AUR each for example and all you have to do is put the BPO into a colour slot in the fitting screen so your vehicle/dropsuit can be that colour
Also it would be a proper BPO so uses are unlimited |

I would pay a fair sum for, say, a BPO colour scheme for a dropsuit. So have a customisation slot which you can buy camo for with AUR and equip in there or something.

What he means are skin packs. Where you can change the color/pattern of your dropsuits when you do your fittings. Its a great way for:
- CCP to make money without being P2W - Allow mercs to have some fun with their fittings - Have some individuality on the battlefield
I would pay for skin packs.

Exactly. Was just thinking of it being another slot on the fitting screen, or a link from the menu where you can rename the suit

As long as you can still quickly identify the suit type on the battlefield with the camo applied this is a solid idea. |

camo for AUR is OP.
"his gun is gold"
"nerf it!"
People will say "were is the ISK camo at" and QQ about not having one. Throw in the ISK ones also so you dont have to deal with that. |

cant we just have a ISK based camo customizing option?
PSN doesnt want to accept my money so even if i DO want to spend aurum, i just cant use any real money because PSN doesnt want accept my credit/debit cards.
so wouldnt it be better to have an ISK based camo customizing option?

I like the Idea very much.
I wouldn't mind if CCP took away my sever suit, if they in return allowed me to use the suit blueprint as a suit skin blueprint, that I can use on all my suits (of the same class). The protos would look slightly different (in this example the grey parts should be black instead on proto suits).
The possibility to "paint" all my Logi suits in 'Sever' rust camo would be awesome.
Additionally these "Skin Blueprint Originals" should be available on the market. Either for Aurum or for ridiculous amounts of Isk. Furthermore there should be 'SBO's given to us for achievements in Factional Warfare, as a sign of great achievement (These should be non tradeble and locked to a character). If you loose standing with said faction, you loose the skins too (sort of degradation). This would give FW players a possibility to show of theirs loyalties to said faction.
The same could be possible for Corporations, have Corporate Skin blueprints made available for again ridiculous amounts of isk, which show the corp logo on the shoulders of the mercs with certain customizable colour schemes.
These things could be either available for Aurum, or used as Isk sink.
Cheers Mad
