...but I can't tear myself away from BF4!
I'm so close to unlocking the SCAR-H SV (DMR), I need help guys. I want to fight for the Empire, but there's just something about constantly accruing those points and the depth of customization of my weapon!

Just think about much fun its going to be to unlock the SCAR-H SV (DMR), when you have to do it all over again in BF5,6,7 and so on....

But those games will all have the newest of the new tech, where as DUST will always be kind of mediocre.
Not saying it's not fun or not worth playing, I've obviously been here far too long, but the point of new games on new consoles is to marvel in the new tech.
Also, games like those are far more likely to be taken seriously as an E Sport, so truly talented players will be drawn to those games for the competition.

I think it can be an E sport too. Good luck in BF. |

And you are certain that DUST will always be mediocre, how? I understand that it doesn't have days of content right now, but how can you possibly predict what the first expansion will hold? Or how much depth will be added to the game once Eve integration is 100%? You can't.

True I guess, but again, aren't you assuming quite a bit here? CCP wants DUST to continue to turn a profit for them. Allowing it to languish with outdated technologies effects their bottom line. It is in their best interests to improve the technology used in DUST as its competitors improve.

Who the hell wants talented players in DUST? I want them to be uncoordinated, lacking any semblance of skill, but preferably rich and willing to pay CCP for boosters (CCP needs to keep the devs paid and servers running). Also, E Sports? Yeah no. |

Yeah no. By mediocre I simply meant that for the forseable future, it will be on the PS3, a mediocre system in light of the next generation consoles.
And hey, CCP is the one that said they want this to be an esport (lol) considering the "arena" themed expansion was pitched specifically for this reason.

I used to play BF3 a ton, but here's some general mechanics I like that Dust does better,
- There are side objectives like CRUs and depots, not just the letters
- If you are going to take an objective, you make yourself vulnerable meaning teamwork is needed
- If you are going to heal a friendly, you make yourself vulnerable meaning teamwork is needed
- A lot more personalized fitting options
- If I want a vehicle, I don't need to camp the spawn point and hope I get it before the other guy

I could care less about new tech, its sad to say it but most of the old games are way more fun then the Eye Candy variants we now get to play.
Besides, everything that PS4 can do, my PC has been doing all that for the last 2-3 years, its just you guys on consoles that have been playing with tech that was being invented a decade ago, another 2-3 years with this old tech wont kill anybody until CCP ports it to PS4 WHEN by that time people know how to program for that new console |
