Rollover SP boosters would allow you to make money off of players that aren't interested in playing right now. You could be making dolla billz from players that otherwise wouldn't be contributing anything other than a bit of storage space.

I dont see the connection. If someone really isn't playing very often it wouldn't really matter. Also i dont expect many casual players to spend much money on boosters except maybe passive boosters. |

The current SP system punishes you for not playing. I haven't logged in a while, and because of that, I'll never be able to catch up to those that continued to play, no matter how much extra effort I dump into the game. Rollover SP would allow me to choose when I want to play without worrying about falling behind too much. A rollover booster would allow me to take extended breaks from the game without worrying about gimping myself forever.

Oh right, so like an SP pool that grows if you don't take from it allowing you to idle for two weeks and then you could play 24/7 cashing in for a lot SP. Yeah kinda nice (thinking about my current situation being on vacation and losing out on two weeks worth of A-SP).

Could a mechanic that accelerates your active SP if you have been away also make sense?
If your merc has been inactive, he has probably been hibernating. Rested bonus makes sense.

Good idea, to add to it I say CCP should do some math and uncap anybody that is below the average Dust player SP (maybe even cap only the upper 25%). That way when the game has been out for several years, a new player doesn't need to grind forever to be able to get into the meat of the game.
As is, the cap does prevent people like me AKA no lifer from getting to far ahead, but it also prevents those that start out after and those with lives form ever catching up. Actually when you think about it, it is a very poor set-up right now since it actually helps those with ridiculous amounts of SP since they can earn the same amount of points that they guy just starting out can. New guys can never catch up.

A promotion that incentivizes not playing Dust is NOT what this game needs right now.
Get the active playerbase up to a functional and sustainable level first, then these kinds of offers will be realistic.
Right now, every promotion, effort and communication should be laser focused on getting players playing! |

I'm not quite sure how a rollover cap promotes not playing. You don't actually get to use the SP until you log on and play to empty the accumulated pool, and it doesn't accumulate any faster than what we're given per week to grind for.
