At the moment a corp from any region can attack any district and impose lag on the other side. This is one of the things that makes PC such a chore compared to pubs. In pubs, my bullets go where I aim them, I can get in my LAV first time, and so on, because I usually play the server in the EU where I'm based. In PC these simple tasks often become very complicated due to lag. It's at its worst fighting versus Asian corps, but it's not limited to that case.
I have a very simple suggestion to deal with that issue. Divide the constellations in Molden Heath according to the servers that CBs are played on. Assign a number of districts to each geographical region corresponding to the average number of players on each pub server (so NA would get much more than Asia, for instance). Maybe Almur would be known as having NA servers, Besateoden as Asia, Elfrard as EU servers, and so on for all other constellations.
Corps with members predominantly from other servers would be free to attack servers outside their region, but doing so would mean that server preference automatically went to the 'home' team. So if your corp hated lag, they could simply never attack a constellation using a server outside your region. If an 'out of region' corp took a district, they would then always have to defend it on a different continent's server.
The basic idea, then, is to try to bring performance in PC closer to that of pubs. I realize what I'm proposing wouldn't solve all the lag in PC (even, say, NA versus NA matches get plenty of lag) but it would get rid of one additional source of lag. Sure, if, say an NA corp gets attacked by an Asian corp, there would still be lag in movement of the other team's players, but you shouldn't get anything like as much lag just from moving/aiming with your own character as you do at present.
TL;DR Make each constellation in MH run on a specific server to reduce lag for teams from that region. |

I like this idea. It would also prevent the need to have your corp log on at 5:00 AM to assault districts.
Right now Nyain San is borderline immune to everyone around them because they're NA corps.

Google translate wrote:Hi xxwhitedevilxx M! The problem of CP and servers (EU / U.S. / Asia) is not going to be resolved in the short term. By then a lot of dust clones fall on the battlefield. Does it will not envisagable that CCP opens two "Molden health", one for each server. Then allow to each "universe" (server) address for 48 hours once a week (say weekend). In each "universe", corporations are subject to the current rules when it comes to building CP-called "intra-universe." Here is an idea. May not be the final solution but the most viable medium term. Similar idea but my one is a bit less drastic, as we still only have one Molden Heath, it's just that the existing constellations get assigned to specific servers. |

Once the whole universe opens up everyone has to be able to attack everyone
It cant be separated up that well by systems or we close off large areas
We could look at doing it by timezone selected which would help, but this means defending team always has the advantage
could be several servers located around and each side selects their location (auto detected by players IP) then a middle ground server is selected to keep both sides as good as poss on ping |

Pretty much the exact same idea our guys have been tossing around. Split up this region and all regions by constellations, assign them to different server regions and eliminate that idiotic latency problem where you can never hit your opponent. OR do better programming to fix this without splitting it up.

E.g., Asia-based players in a mostly NA/EU corp don't stop battles versus Asian corps from being a lagfest for everyone else in the corp. My suggestion does address that issue. |
