It looks like a pretty good patch but can you give the caldari logi some love now? You've nerved them before and never made something to make it even like everything else |

A nerf does not mean something needs a buff immediately afterwards.
It means it was overly powerful.
A dropsuit with 9 full slots, a fair bit of equipment, excellent bonuses, and lots of CPU and PG is too good.
Thus, it was nerfed.
Why do you think the CaLogi needs a buff?

Every logistics suit has drawbacks compared to their racial assault counterpart:
Minmatar Ass Assault = More high powered slots, speed, base HP, shield regen
Amarr Ass = Better offensive oriented bonuses
Gallente Ass = More speed, easier to fit hybrid weapons (bonus will shine more after 1.7)
Caldari Ass = More CPU/PG
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

The nerf was a bit heavy handed back then because of shield/armor imbalances. CaLogi is still a solid suit, but one of the weaker logistics.

i think it is the weakest logi out of the 4 races... it was over nerfed... hence why i believe it needs a buff, not a big one but just more cpu would help a lot... if i got more cpu i could be able to make it better and actually not die so often... correct me if im wrong but i think caldari logi is the only logi that doesnt get a secondary weapon. |

Callogi's are still too strong.
Usually go 10+/1-2 on an advanced suit with 1500-3500 WP on my alt and he doesn't have any of the CPU/PG skills passed 4

The Minmatar and Gallente logis don't get sidearms either. The Caldari logis strength is it amount of slots. It has the most highs and lows in the game. To keep that from getting abused like it was, CCP nerfed the CPU of Caldari Logis. The other obvious option for a nerf would have been for CCP to remove a low slot from them.
Pretty much nobody but other Calogis are going to support you TBH. That suit was a monster.

You caldari a over effective in my opinion you get bonuses to shields but can armor tank just as good. Now tell me why does the suit need a buff?

A proto Cal logi is still one of the best suits in the game. It can tank like a heavy, fight like an assault and still fill a logi role. The nerf brought it down to just shy of OP.

Most of the good players went callogi because we wanted a callassault coming from chrome, but wanted the versatility of a logi.
So NO the callogis were NOT OP at all, better players simply used them instead of scrubs. Fact is other suits have WAY more pg and CPU compared to the callogi, which always let you tank more on other logis anyways. Scrubs in other suits simply chose(and still do) not to hybrid tank. This due to being scrubby(just true,no offense) and also not having the SP for core upgrades.
However after the nerf, the shields were cut badly, as well as having the CPU nerfed ludicrously. Now just to have a half decent fit comparable to other logis, you have to equip a CPU extender, meaning you only have access to 8 module slots(same as other logis) but unfortunately have only 3 equipment slots (unlike those same logis). Combine with the dominance of armor, extremely low base pg, and the useless racial bonus, and you realise every other logi suit outclasses it.
Overall, right now the best logi suit is the gallente by far, with the highs for 3 damage mods, an insanely good reduction to equipment fitting, a reliance on the dominant armor, its base 5 rep added, 4 equipment slots, and the high CPU/PG it provides, the gallente logi is unquestionably the best suit in the game, reaching 600+ armor with 10rps rep rate, optimum 3 complex damage mods, and proto equipment and weapons easily.
Theres only 1 thing shielded suits can do right now that armor suits can't do better-
survive grenades. |
