Received a small PG/CPU buff from their suit passive for each piece equipment placed on it? This way they could reduce the overall PG/CPU and reward those who use the suit to logistic, but those who want to use it offensively will just have less PG/CPU to use?

...could post a complete thought in the subject line? Apparently not. There's like 5 of these things on the front page and it's idiotic. |

If you mean giving equipment negative fitting requirements, or no requirements and providing bonuses to CPU and PG, then you do nothing to alleviate the supposed issue of assault logistics suits being able to fit powerful modules.
If you mean reducing the net change in available CPU and PG usage by equipment, then you still aren't alleviating the supposed issue and run the risk of complicating a system for no reason (why not reduce the base CPU and PG usage of the equipment, anyway? That'd buff assaults at the same time).

Yes please I have advanced hives, uplinks and repair tool, I use grenades but being able to fill another low slot would be very welcome.

I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

The fix to people using Logistics as super-Assaults is not to distract the Logi. It's to fix the shortcomings of Assaults/Heavies/Scouts.
Assaults need to be better at killing than others (so things like Damage Mods fitting reductions, or a widespread reduction in damage and Assaults getting a role bonus) Heavies need to be able to soak damage capably (so things like reduced fitting for Extenders/Plates or a role bonus for damage resistance) Scouts need to be able to scout properly (so sneaking improvements like the current role bonus, but also things like squad-sight for their passive scans) All of the other roles could do with having the number of slots increased (with a relevant CPU/PG increase)
If the other roles can actually have a place on the battlefield that isn't immediately surpassed by the Logistic's combination of module and equipment slots, then we're looking at balance.

Still not sure why the Commando isnt the Assault suit. - Maybe because CCP cant think of another good role for Heavies.

They got it right the first time with the Black Eagle scout.

No, that's not what I said at all. Have you ever used PG or CPU modules?
What I'm referring to is if you started off with a reuced cap of overal CPU/PG that a logistics could use, but when they apply a piece of equipment, they get a small module-style boost that effectively absorbs a bit of the cost of the module, thus permitting the use of more expensive modules without permitting extensive splurging of the new CPU/PG into other types of modules. AKA it's a phantom limit.
example No modules PG {========} CPU{=======} With Equipment (x2) PG {========XX} CPU{=======XX}
They could limit the overall use of CPU/PG into the other fronts. If you were to change the values needed for equipment itself, you would then have to re-balance against all the other suits equipment varieties. It's far easier to simply work with solutions that only affect a single point of influence.
A flat bonus works better than a % bonus like we currently have, so therefore if the cost of basic equipment was almost removed by the bonus, and about half of the advanced was removed, it would still provide a scaling front (meaning higher equipment results in less overall space remaining), only fewer points could be arrayed in to items such as damage and armor modules.
On top of that, as opposed to the lockdown method, this could be used to allow a subclass of assault-esque logistics to still exist, but without all the bonuses that they have currently. Options are what this game is being sold for.
If you can read this, it means you are reading.

OP they have to lower Base CPU/PG along with it on certain tiers of suits aswell,enough where that tier needs CPU/Pg Extension mods in the lows where tank mods would have been |
