I stand by and will always stand buy forge guns are the only way to stop a proto stomp. Most who dont like the forge gun are the ones who lose proto suits to a forge gunner's so ether give a game mode where proto gear can not be used or dont mess the forge gun up. That being said I forge gun on an alt and think splash dmg is no where close to being ok. But CCP dosnt have the time to tweek all splash dmg to make it on par all around. Mass driver should be used like the M-203 attach it to a rifle and make it a single shot where you can use emp/flux rounds AV and what not make it single shot and uses the side arm slot. But really back on topic. People the forge gun is the only thing new players have that can stand up to proto suits so thats what needs to be done give us a game mode where proto gear can not be used. |

Never said dont change it. Splash dmg is broke in dust and needs to be fixed I just want them to give a new matchmaking game type to allow players to have a fair chance at winning since Wed-Sat you only face guys in proto gear. |

Seems like to me some people are upset about my idea and odds are they use a proto suit and MD to get kills sadly I dont have any skills into heave or FG so dosnt matter to me I just want to help out newer players is all |

There are a few forgers I will not run with due to that and I usly end up trying to push them off with a dropship or bleed there nanohives dry with nades so they have to get down |

i think ppl r angry about dieing several times to a fg because of stupidity.
get smart.
add some railings so forge gunners cant aim down and cover entire fields with their gun.
the lower buildings should remain unaffected by this.
the proto bear reason of complaining is actually quite true.
why else would the blueberries beloved free default mlt lav have been removed.
its because those players wearing full proto wanted to PLAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
and suffered the consequences by getting pancaked by an lav.
but in truth that tower fg camper is easily countered.
all it takes is an angry player willing to waste 70k isk on a dropship to fly up and kill him. it works very well too. |

No, that's not true.
I do run a MD on my STD Logi suit, but I don't run proto suits.
I use the MD for what it was intended for, and making it a one shot weapon with a reload time that would allow an AR to kill the new Heavy is ridiculous. I can toss a grenade with far more stopping power faster than that.
You simply haven't thought through the consequences of your ideas. |

the massdriver is a light weapon...there is a flaylock for side arm explosive dmg...most all games have grenade launchers get over it
