I have known many fine breeders, and actually have worked with in the past two such Hounds, both of whom I am rather enamoured with. Their owner actually mentioned he might let me purchase them off him when the pair have been successfully bred.

I find it to be an oddly splendid depiction of justice in the face of corruption. The Light of the Faith will find you not matter where you hide, no matter who you are, or what face you wear.
God will not be denied his dues.

Nothing like the Americans/ Eurpeans who took slaves for the sake of labour and exploitation.
The Amarr take slaves out of a cultural tradition and necessity similar to ancient Rome who took slaves, and made slaves of it own people of a variety of reasons including the cultural betterment of those groups, and the continued survival of certain peoples.
We can compare the actual role of the Amarrian slavery which is a form of pseudo parental patronage you can see why the Amarr do what they do, since they seek the betterment of man through unity and faith it to them is more of a cultural form of acceptance.
Having done 2 years of anthro study at uni I find this kind of cultural exchange fascinating.

Here are some fun Amarr facts brought by a gentleman named Skilfer
Their confidence is as much rooted in fact as well as scripture.
- The Imperial Navy has never deployed anywhere near its full capacity (not even 25%) to deal with anything, including the Jove, Minmatar Rebellion, the Elder Fleet, etc. If even a quarter of its true potential was directed at an entity, the results would be unfathomable.
- The Empire has the largest population of all of the four empires with the largest standing army, which like the navy has never been even remotely dedicated towards a specific target.
- While historically viewed as "behind the curve" in terms of technology, the Amarr have consistently been the ones who set the bar in terms of military technology, from constructing the first Proto Titan to creating our own predecessors, the original Templars.
- Since Empress Jamyl ascended to the throne, the Empire has seen a monumental increase in technological advances and education.
- While the other empires were dealing with much internal strife over the past couple years (i.e. Heth vs. Megacorps, Minmatar/Federation tensions, etc.) the Amarr were prospering.
The Empire did not get as large as it is today by being weak and primitive. Behind the scriptures lies a culture whose innovation could only be rivaled by the Caldari, and whose strategic and intellectual prowess has stood through the test of time. They are strong and united probably more than any other empire, and therefore should, if not feared, be watched a respected for the unprecedented strength they wield.[/quote]
((It is explicitly stated in the novel, Templar One (which I am too lazy to get up and look up the exact page right now LOL), but the specific citing of this in regards to the Jove conflict can be found here, in the fourth paragraph under "Overview".))

((Another citation from Templar One that reinforces all of this is this direct quote by Mordu's Legion CEO, Muryia Mordu: "[The Ammarians'] faith afforded them an aura of invincibility. If not for the Joves, they might have become the most powerful empire in the history of civilization. As it was, the Amarr were not only fending off three navies right now, but winning."))[/ |

First off on page 1 a little after posting it I stated I got some of it from the libary.
Second not all of my sources nor links are from their.
Lastly all the links and information in here and in the libary is NOT PIE property, the lore and game itself as well as these forums is under Sony and CCP directive, ownership, and rights to. But both the libary and I are posting legally under the fair use act.
If you are saying I am NOT posting under fair use act regarding this stuff then this post AS WELL AS the libary by law is allowed to be taken down as well as removed entirely by CCP &/or Sony as neither of us post a disclaimer with the fair use act.

Understand my point, Vinsarrow. I have no quarrel with you utilizing the resources available, and I was somewhat honoured you chose to use the library content. At the same time, you must understand that the naming of the "halls", the appearance of the lineup (faith first, governement later etc) and just the finding and linking of all the resources itself from the beginning (which took some time) - ARE a work of players in PIE. The resources themselves, are lore and Prime Fiction made by the developers. But the work of linkage to it and the IC approach it takes, is in this case made by players, which you copy-pasted - thus my comment on it. Don't get me wrong, I would never state that PIE had any property claim on any sort of PF. We wanted to spread the word of Amarr and its culture, to an easier availability to DUST, with an IC touch to it.
And again, know that I actually really appreciate that you started this thread from the beginning. Spreading the Word is an honourful act.

If I may clarify even more, the Adakul philosophy is a branch of itself. It sprung out from the Gallente, more specifically the Jin-Mei bloodline, by a philosopher named Rao Jumen.
It is now widely accepted in all the four Empires, not just the Amarr and Minmatar. The Gallente (most notably the Intaki and Jin-Mei bloodlines) make up the largest percentage of its followers and actual monks. The Caldari finds it working quite well with their "Way of the Wind", also the Adakul seems very much in line with their own ascetic tendencies. The Amarr accepts that the adakul philosophy does not violate the Scriptures, and has had many monastaries and temples blending the amarrian faith with the adakul philosophy - meditating and praying for inner peace towards God. The Minmatar has also accepted the philosophy to gain more calm and inner peace through the mediation techniques, in contrast to their otherwise widely unstrained and aggressive behavior. This serves them well in diplomatic situations within the Republic.
