Semi automatic but low damage, maybe 72 dmg per shot, 0.8 seconds charge time, 182 dmg charge shot, 92.45 RPM. Any ideas on this? |

The only other race that makes sense to make a shotty for is the Winmatar, and those should be slugs. Otherwise, no. Caldari sits back, so having a CQ only weapon makes so sense, and Amarr uses lasers, which ain't a shotty, as Lasers aren't CQ at all. |

I totally would.
Dispersion issues are what have plagued this and other weapons for so long that a single slug would be devastating. OP threads are already inbound...

Why is that the case? You honestly think any nation that has survived for thousands of years would of never created a version of a shotgun?
Plus what would be so bad about having a shotgun variation that does more damage to shields than armor?

I don't think items should be limited racially.
Take drones in EVE, for example.

The current shotgun does more damage to shields than armor. The Amarr might have made shotguns in the past, but they have long since abandoned such crude weaponry. A shotgun is built with innacuracy in mind; the Amarr are a presise people and a shotgun wouldn't suit them.

Amarr could easily have flayer short guns of prism cannons. Both plausible weapons.
