How exactly do they stack?
(I'm not bothered about the reduced scan profile ones - they are pretty self explanatory).
But at Lv5 - you get 50% increase in DS scan range - big whoop - wanna fight about it?
50% of 15/20 meters is only 7.5/10m so not much of an increase at all..
So do people who have this at level 5 notice any difference?
Do the modules give you 50% more on top of that so -
30m Base as an example + 50% = 45m, if you add another module onto that, does that give you another 15m or does it give you 50% of the new number? (22.5 making it 67.5m) etc etc
I was just curious before I spend my SP.. |

I still get confused if it's additive or whatever it.
All I know is a Gallente Scout with max skills gets 22 meters of passive scan range. |

compared to the active scanners these are severely inadequate.
if they had a squad link module, I'd probably run it. |

TBH the only skill I have been a bit tempted to get is dampening skill. The numbers say that my logi at dampening level 5 and a complex dampener hides me from adv scanners. Apart from that, Before the respec I took range amplification to level 5 without good results because it's too small of a range. At 22 meters with a scout suit you are still dead because you get shot at 50+ meters with AR/SR/LR/MD and just about anything that isnt an HMG or shotgun or sidearm |

The only thing worth getting to 5 is dampening. The percent increase for precision and range are too small to be of use. Better to run a scanner and try and avoid the enemy's. |

I run them, but I don't ever stack modules, and I lack the ability to articulate the way the penalties work.... I think there is still some conflicting information on this. Height and visual variables make testing range challenging. |

They have no stacking penalties but to be honest for a medium suit the only one worthy to get is Profile dampening at level 5, at level 5 you'll be able to block basic active scanners passively.
With the rest, you don't get too good of anything really. The range amplification is extremely laughable it's not even worth it unless you have so much SP you're spending it on anything (like I did). Range amps at max level will extend your range to 15m instead of 10m and precision will be able to detect regular heavies and med suits.
I may have deleted DUST but I still care deeply about this game.

Precision Enhancement/Range Amplification is worth it on the Gallente Scout where you can get a very solid passive scan radius/precision, allowing you to sneak up on people without having to constantly switch to an Active Scanner. Whilst it doesn't offer sight for team mates, it does make for an effective sweeper who can better avoid contact without needing to spin around like a moron. |
