I'm sure it has already been asked many times but what's the likelihood of this .... as a proud merc of the DUST514/EVE universe im capping out a lot quicker now, where as I used to cap out the sunday-monday, now its the Thursday . And I know its defiantly not my 1337 skills as my K/D is still down the tubes. |

I'm not too worried about the cap. I'm just waiting for the "rolling cap" that was talked about earlier this year. |

The question shouldn't be 'Can we increase the cap?' but rather 'is a cap even necessary?' Progression and SP should never be the primary focus/incentive to play of this game. It makes everything about the grind. I've been writing up a wall of text about the evils of the current system(s), some of it having been said by others before on these forums.
Simply put: We need things that are more fun and interesting to do than just mindlessly grind for SP. |

I agree with Nova. And that's why i was always a militant of the full passive SP movement. But it's all too late for such a blend change. And it poses the issue of new player catching up with older players.
That wouldnt be an issue if there was a suddle way to separate those players. But FPS make it a lot harder than a game like EVE. So the full passive will remain a fantasy.
And just as full passive is a fantasy, no cap poses other issues that have been discussed over and over. A cap feels like a decent solution for now. Now about raising it, it's a different question. I was thinking a while back that perhaps the cap should raise over time following a linear equation taking into account average community SP or max SP players or something.
But yeah, first thing i'd like is the rollover SP cap.
Still got to admit that overall, i'd rather have CCP focus on other stuff such as offering more variety in the game (PVE, betting, deeper FW\PC, second market) |

Simply put: We need things that are more fun and interesting to do than just mindlessly grind for SP. Atm it is my only reason to play, isk is looking like a swirling typhoon at the bottom of a toilet and TTK makes this game more of a question of which BPO suit am I wearing today than a question of how many kills can I get.
If I could get the SP I would have earned from playing and capping every week since CB (2 characters, sometimes 3) that was dropped down to 1000-1500 SP a match after cap, I would be most happy. I would not expect this to happen but it would be a nice reward for players who as vets have been told, we are looking into it, for a good long time.
When is a Logibro not a Logibro? When TTK on any suit is below 2 seconds. |

this makes sense, id prefer CCP to fix the "real" issues first... and then we can ask the cap question.
