I'm really tired of using the Active Scanner and needing to switch my weapon and not being able to for several seconds.
When I switch my weapon I need the scan to be broken. CANCEL IT. And let me switch to my weapon. I don't care if it get's cut off when I am dead.
This is broken, as far as i can tell, and needs to be addressed. |

Sprint cancel ftw. Seriously, the scan even completes after its been "cancelled". It's basically the same mechanic that allowed melee glitching. |

Did I, anywhere in my post, mention anything about an animation being the problem? NO. And to confirm that, to all you forum junkies, please check. There is NO edit on my post.
Now, to the point that you all are missing. Once you hit SCAN, it HOLDS the scanner for a set duration while the scan is being processed and you absolutely cannot switch to anything else. You can sprint, that's fine. You can jump, that's fine too. But you can't switch to a weapon or to another equipement.
Now all you know-it-all explain that? Oh... dang. |

What broke this game was the removal of squad vision and the removal of being able to see anything on your mini-map. Things that make noise. Enemies that shoot their guns at you. They don't pop up anymore, thus making a need for active scanners.

Didnt think anyone would have to spell it out but here we go... sprint cancelling cancels the animation but not the scan. After cancelling the animation you CAN switch to a weapon immediately. I know i shouldnt make these gamebreaking (fun) glitches public knowledge, but it's these glitches that need to be fixed. Otherwise this game will remain broken. |

You see. I knew this. But what happens when you switch to a mass driver, a specific case of this glitch, is that the sound glitches out and it looks like your holding your mass driver like an active scanner, allowing you to rapid fire your mass driver without having to reload. So all 13+ rounds in your EXO will pew pew pew pew pew pew, without reloading. I also hate having no sound when this happens, so I don't do it. |

In which case we're talking about two separate problems that need the same fix: a way to cancel the scan as well as the animation, thus allowing us to switch to a weapon.
I doubt we'll see any solutions in the short term, so i'll continue to sprint cancel for the long term. |
