How come no one uses the breach? Ive been trying shotguns and at first I didnt have much luck, but when i tried the breach i found i got alot more one shot kills and that i was able to take people out from much further away. |

I use it, don't like reload but first shot usually hits home. |

As a proficient SG user. I pull it out from time to time and I like it a lot. Just sometimes 2 shots isn't enough for the crowds I flank into...... |

ROF and reload kill that gun. If they both were equal to the reg SG, ppl would use Breach more often. As is though, it's much easier to adjust your play style to do well with the reg SG rather than work around the shortcommings of the breach. |

I know quite a few people that run Caldari assault with the Allotek, pistol/SMG, and speed/stamina mods their lows. Pretty much one shots mediums and even heavies on a head shot. |

Because it has less rounds to fall back on if the shotgun feels like crapping itself while detecting a hit. |

Because a gun with a low fire cycle & slow reload takes aiming skill and good solid FPS, hitboxes, most people dont have the aiming for it and this game doesnt have the solid FPS and Hit Detection yet.
I made it work back in chromosone and got more Hatemail in a day then i got since i picked up the Imperial SCR from its day one and i only managed to get in the +20 / sub 30 kills with it per match.
But its a real laugh killing 2 people in 2 shots, reloading a round and taking out a third guy thinking he got me then swapping to Proto SMG to cut down the 2 stragglers.
You most likely could make it to work with an SMG with damage mods, and the shotgun as a "surpirse" these days. |

i remember back in chromosome days that when you hear the distinct sounds of a shotgun being fired, you gotta watch your back. and also it was fun to see how people freak out when they hear the shotgun and get hit by it |

I miss that sound. It was terrifying, but it was a great sound.
The current "thoom, thoom" just doesn't do it for me. |

I've never had the breach hit detection act wired for me, the normal one is a different story... |

I used to use it mainly back in Chrome, against Heavies it was worthless.
Only reason I dont use it today is because of the unreliable hit detection, and because Med Frames have a lot more tank.

It has its drawbacks, sometimes the 2 shots don't down your enemy and if you are trying to take out more than one at a time which isn't always possible it can put you at a severe disadvantage. If you don't put down the first enemy within the first few seconds they will just turn around and start spraying. Sometimes its nice but overall I feel the other variant has more use for different situations. Hit detection is the other issue, shots wont always connect and that is a weapon you do not want to miss with. |
