heavies only have two weapons in their arsenal, and i feel it needs to be expanded. what better weapon to add than an over sized, belt-fed automatic grenade launcher?  it'd be a weapon in the heavy category who's main purpose would be area denial and crowd control, essentially being the mass driver's bigger brother. it'd fire low damage, slow traveling grenades, at a rate of about 200rpm, have a moderately small splash (1.5-2.5m?) and have a clip size of 30. oh, and it'd be really slow to reload. just my idea! i think it'd be nice for the heavies to get some new toys  |

200 RPM? 30 30 in a clip?? Then EVERYONE would spec into heavies! EVERYONE would make QQ threads about "HUGE OP MASS DRIVERS! WTF CCP NERF THEM INTO OBLIVION! CCP is already busy attending to all the "nerf AV" people

i know, too many fixes, not enough time :l but maybe something later on perhaps :D

Let's put it this way:
NATO is basically like devs in real life. This is the MK19 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher. This weapon is not deemed as OP by NATO in real life- where we don't get shields and respawns.
I think there's room in Dust for a heavy grenade launcher. It might wind up being the Minmatar heavy's AV weapon. |
