So I am telling you CCP I don't care about a reimbursement It was only a cheap 555k Tank that is nothing. Now what I was saying was that can I get it out of the game because it was some straight BS, this is all the concept not the ISK. So to the story: we precision a group of red dots and they happen to call an RDV too and it is in the strike as well. When it crashes and it does that slow disappear that it does with everything, I took my Tank ,when it was gone, to the spot it was at when I roll to kill a heavy in the middle of the road. When I get on the spot (RDV has already disappeared for a couple of seconds) I freaking blow up instantly, instantly all it says was that I died no nothing no weapon of choice that killed me. It was a death spot I just freaking was gone in an instant I didn't see my health drop or any AV signal in fact if I remember correctly I had too much health to instantly die anyway. So CCP I don't care about no ISK that ISK is just a freaking paper weight! I just want it gone because of that BS because I would have been pissed If I was using a Good Tank. So please don't say well our logs say.... Just look into it because I have squadmates that will also say the same because they saw it (Extreme Goggins is 1) I mean CCP cut some of the BS in the game. |

I agree with 843 Unorthodox Hunter that while not as large a concern as it could have been, a more valuable tank in a more important battle, say a PC battle, could result in significant losses, ISK value aside.
I was in this game when the issue occured and while I did not view the destruction of Unorthodox's tank, I was near and saw nothing in the area that would explain why his tank suddenly exploded.
It seems to me, from Unorthodox's description, that the logs on the server, recorded an impact with the the RDV (which I can tell you had disappeared on my client) and, as expected, the game calculated damage to the tank and it exploded. But, client side, Unorthodox was not the only one to perceive that the RDV had already disappeared.
I wonder, is there a way for Unorthodox to submit mission logs from his client that may indicate that the RDV was no longer rendered in his game experience? If this is something players must anticipate, than tracking and avoiding areas where a vehicle has been destroyed, but may have left invisible wreckage, will detract from the experience of vehicle operators, and, by proxy, their teammates.
If the client does not keep such logs, then perhaps this is something that developers can add to the code. I can see that logs would have to be regularly purged, but perhaps an in-game option can be added for players to automatically supply the log, with a description of the issue, or be given a ticket number to which they can then add a report to, through the website. This way, logs would only have to be kept, client-side, long enough for the player to have an opportunity to submit them. Support staff could then compare the client logs with the server logs and likely identify many issues they could not otherwise.
It occurs to me that there may be some other technical limitations to this problem, but I for one, and I am sure other members of the community, would appreciate an explanation as to why this function could not be implemented? |
